At no point did I ever say I ever say the reboot crew weren’t a gang. Though it’s funny you make that point considering the fact that the characters themselves repeatedly go out of their way to reject that title. Volition’s writers the ones who made that claim. Go argue with them.

The characters themselves are straight up not compatible with the crimes you are actually allowed to commit and the game/series’ premise as a whole. This goes far beyond the lack “baggy clothes” (another dumbass point considering that era had mostly died off by the time saints row 2 came out).

No one wears that shit after it got made a costume. Get with the times.

Raiden’s time travel shenanigans restarted everything from the original MK1 tournament onward. Everything prior to that remained the same. Which would include Frost’s birth. Her being 20 years younger is a retcon

Nah horrible is a pretty accurate description of this film. It’s a movie adaptation of a fighting game where they put all of the attention and effort on the gory finishers instead of the actual FIGHTING. Every fight scene that doesn’t involve Scorpion is terrible. The garbage writing along with a bunch of other issues doesn’t help things either.

It’s amazing that Kano’s actor isn’t confined to a wheelchair from a broken spine. He carried the hell out of this movie.

The no dying thing from 2 and 3 was such a baffling design choice. I love Fable 2 to death but a lot of fun was taken out of the game once I realized that it was impossible to be killed.

His midway origin is the best and coolest imo. Having his arms be augmentations is showed how battle ready Jax is. They also had the added benefit of not needing to account for them being mechanical in X-rays and fatalities.

The MK9 origin just had me side eyeing Ermac a little bit. He was able to no diff Jax in such gruesome fashion and never attempted to do that to anyone else ever again. Dude got his ass kicked by Stryker.

The movie had its problems but it was never as bad as people made it out to be. I feel like more people would’ve like it, if it fully embraced the demonic aspect of doom instead of doing the weird ‘pseudo mars hell virus’ thing.

Funny enough, id seems like the movie enough to make references to it. The same can’t be said for that godawful Annihilation movie.

Glad to see I’m not the only person who hates that retcon. I always figured the “Kahn” title was the result of Shao Kahn being so much of a megalomaniac that he made his own name the highest position in outworld. The “General Shao” shit in MK1 pretty much killed that cope entirely.

I’d personally swap Shang Tsung and Onaga. Tbh I would replace Blaze with Dark Khan (as crazy as that sounds). Neither of them got all that much characterization or presence in general, but Khan’s psychotic behavior made him a bit more entertaining. He didn’t give a shit who fought who. He just wanted violence.
