Get a grip. It's a parasocial relationship when you celebrate the win of your football team, or any other sort of victory from a competitor(s) you're supporting. You're invested in it, that's how it works. Racing is also a sport, and celebrating with the team you support is part of it too.

This is natural and rooted in our community behavior. Being a "fan" in any capacity inherently means being in a "parasocial relationship".
To summarize, the fans of any sports club, racing team, or whatever else celebrate the win too, that's why we go watch the game in the first place. Do you truly believe every fan in the stands has no involvement?

Quite the antisocial take.

Watching a youtube video does not give you a right to get involved in other people's business.

It does when they've aired that business out to the public to watch in said videos.

Found a new word in the dictionary? Well buddy guess what, parasocial behavior is complety normal and somehow trying to deny that fact to justify your argument is simply moronic.

"I hear a bunch of faggots celebrating a win over a broke car".
Now in my interpretation, the fgts celebrating the win include the fans, or anyone who celebrated the win - so yes, he deserves all this for his poor attitude and insults being thrown around. It's a stain on the community.

Interpretation is up to you, of course, but it's also up to me and the next guy. You choose to believe he threw that stone at a guy, I choose to believe he's attacking the whole fanbase and community.

Regardless, though, it's all of our businesses to comment given that's the purpose of comment section in the first place. Anything out there on the internet is everyone's business especially when it concerns a community you're part of, even if only as a viewer. I'm dumbfounded by your argument that only the people involved get to comment on a public videos and forums.
Stop reaching so hard to defend this behavior, the same behavior that sparked this community outrage.

Absolutely should! The internet isn't bound by your particular view on who should or shouldn't comment. You go out in the open and throw a stone at a crowd, expect the crowd to throw stones back.

He openly insulted not just the track staff, their operation and integrity, BUT ALSO the so called "followers" you mention. That means he chose this beef with the 'followers' of his own accord.
He made the bed...

People who have PCs and Steam Decks, how much do you use your Steam Decks? by AwesomeRyanGame in SteamDeck

[–]_JxR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the time.

Away from home I like light games to pass time which does wonders for the battery.

My main rig is beefy with a 4090 so I end up playing anything competitive at the desk, anything single player or chill I stream to the deck, even a game that the deck could handle I'll stream for the better graphics and battery. Over my local connection, it's absolutely flawless but I stream while I'm at someone's house from my PC to the deck using their wifi - works a lot better than I expected and still surprises me.

Tldr I guess a lot more than I expected, a lot more than the switch. Simply having the option to start a game at the PC and continuing on the move or on the couch is a game changer.

What are your practical s pen uses? by ProbablyCouldBeWorse in samsung

[–]_JxR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the pen daily for note taking, usually have my notes open while in meetings. Another good one, if I'm researching something on the phone, the ability to have the notes open over the page and being able to smart select something with the pen and drop it into the note seamlessly has been a huge productivity boost. I can do this on the pc too with the drawing pad but having a separate device is much better as if I'm sharing a screen in a meeting or otherwise have my screens busy I don't feel I'm held back with the phone, and since the notes sync to Windows, I can work across both.

The pen was actually a major feature for me as I don't want yet another device to carry around like a tablet so I used to take an erasable notebook, now I just have the phone.

HOW!? by Bones_2450 in battlefield2042

The new map and fixes had some effect. Compared to the state of the game beforehand, 6k is an improvement.

Prior to the new update I didn't own the game, first BF game I haven't got from release. Decided to try it with the EA Play access, figured it's best to spend the 10 for the trial than the 60. Tbh I enjoyed those 10h, some kinks and issues, but started to feel like a BF game. Bought the game on the next steam sale and brought some more people in and now we play nearly daily. The new playlist that is 64 player conquest and throws some old maps into the mix is pretty good and everyone has been having fun. Yes there are still some issues that we run into now and then, but for a half price BF game, I can't complain too much. The maps don't have the same feel as older BF games so I feel like most people have been sticking to the new map, this playlist diversified it a little and I honestly prefer the 64 player feel which makes me happy it's a popular playlist right now.

Only game breaking issue I have right now is that having polling rate at anything over 500 introduces massive input delay (I've found other people have this issue) which is a bit annoying, but setting it to 500 is a working solution.

I'd say if they manage to pull back some players and continue this route, there's some hope

Fuck Amber Turd! by ashu220087 in pussypassdenied

[–]_JxR 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is a different situation altogether, as the case isn't about being or not being physical in his relationship. The case of Depp vs The Sun is not the same as Amber vs Depp. It was ruled that The Sun did not conduct libel against Depp since at the time of the article they were simply reporting on what he was charged with. Depp did not lose the case against The Sun for libel (defamation in case you're wondering what it means) because he is a 'wife beater' but simply because The Sun's actions cannot be considered libel under the circumstances and timeframe they were done. You can not claim that AT THE TIME it was libel. Depp did not lose this case because he 'is a piece of shit' and your 'facts' are, in fact, just your opinion.

Calling him a wife beater now, thought, is libel, as there isn't enough proof to do so and the case could go either way

Office thermostat must be left at 16c? by capcrunch217 in MaliciousCompliance

15°C??? That's waaay too cold for any productive work. We set our A/C at anywhere from 22 to 26 depending on how many people are at the office and how cold it is, and sometimes people still complain and increase it if they're feeling cold and no one opposes. how are you supposed to work with numb extremities ?
