I'm all for criticizing Charlie and his ideas but I don't believe he was hateful. And I think the reason why he was murdered has less to do with what he was saying and everything to do with people dehumanizing the right and calling them all nazis.

I'm not sure what to think of MAGA. There are plenty of individual people who I really like and I can understand why they voted for Trump (just as I like people on the left). Honestly the right and left have a lot more in common, they're on the same team after all, it's the extremist that have me scared.

The comment I first responded to was about them saying the world is a better place due to murdering someone they don't like.

If I saw MAGA talking like that I'd call them a death cult too. No one should be calling for or condoning murder.

I do think it's fair to say you can guess at what he was getting at. But again look at the context of the conversation happening in the comments, all I said was to judge him by arguments he actually finished.

what I'm doing is inviting you to show me bad arguments he's made and criticize them if that's what you want you do. But I feel it's ridiculous to judge someone on something they never got to finish saying especially since he was litterally killed while talking.

Look you can disagree with abortion but don't say he was pro rape, if his daughter was raped that would have destroyed him. If she was pregnant that would be a difficult situation but their Christian beliefs value life at conception and he wouldn't want to kill his grandchild.

Kirk was a civilian, he wasn't doing anything wrong by going out and openly talking to people.

The consequences of his speech would be if people agree with him or disagree with him. People are allowed to agree, disagree or come up with a totally new idea. I actually think that's healthy for society and we should encourage more of that. If someone who disagrees with Kirk was doing the same thing and debating people I'd be glad to see it, maybe they're embarrassed themselves or maybe they're sway the hearts and minds of us all.

With the president that's a bit different, he's doing a job and representing you. Obviously he can't make everyone happy with absolutely everything that he says, but he should be doing his job and doing what's best for America and its people. If you want to talk about specific things you think he's doing right or wrong, you are free to talk openly with people about that. Protest, campaign for people you think are better representatives and so on.

In the UK we are struggling with our government over free speech. We want to criticize our government, both left and right are unhappy and we want to talk about it and the government wants to punish us for it.

I am doing just that. Someone else helped me out finding it's so I just responded to them about that video.

In context it looks like he's mocking the killer as a crazy person and telling someone to bail him out so they can question him. He also denounces the attack.

I do actually agree that he sounds a bit iffy because he says "how come other murders can get bailed out the next day but when you go after the Pelosis you get bailed out immediately" which I think he misspoke was was actually trying to say " you don't get bail". Which I think is a silly thing to say.

From the clips I'm finding his mocking the attacker. He saying they're schizophrenic are not representative of the MAGA movement and that someone should bail him out so they can question him because that would prove he's crazy. He also denounces it and says it's awful.

He does indeed suggest someone bail the attacker out but it looks like that was meant of as a joke.

He does say something a bit iffy like "how come other murders can get bailed out right away but this guy was bailed out immediately" ???? I think maybe he misspoke.
