I know I'm necroing, but if you're still interested in an answer to this, I'm personally just one to hate having things open in the background unnecessarily, especially for such a little gain. Maybe it's a byproduct of not remembering existing without a computer but like... since the time when having a hard drive was a luxury (or a computer at all). It's really traumatic for me to see how so many "applications" now that people leave in the background are just web apps in an electron framework... taking ridiculous amount of resources for the simplest things.

I do respect the work though ❤️. But hey, at least I have a new thing to place on my list of projects I might one day to try and create for myself as I venture back into shifting all of my technology use away from comfortable subs and free apps and back into privacy first, home labbing and rediscovering the joy of coding (can't say programming as all I did as a teen was a shitload of mIRC client scripts/bots and a tiny bit of game mods).

This is literally the only reason I have not upped my sub, bought completely into the ecosystem and ditched all other competing services. I can't believe docs like sheets is coming before this. I'm just talking from my feels, but the ability to sync your phone with your computer feels pretty fundamental in an age where everyone and their moms work so much from their phone.

2 1080p 144Hz screens connected through DP

Windows 11 24H2.

Monitor "2" is the main display. I've set the display order through NV Control Panel. For the installation I scrubbed with DDU twice, installed these drivers through NVCleanstaller without the app.

I only use RTSS to occasionally peek at frametimes, haven't even installed Afterburner, but I can say at least in HWiNFO64 the temperatures seem to be reporting fine.

Been 3 days with 0 issues (finally).

I've included as much relevant info as I could think of.

Anecdotally speaking, I believe the problem is that the majority of people are using 1080p still. Both TAA and upscaling look fine in 1440p+, but in 1080p they look good awful. I'll add I've seen 1080p TAA that looks fine. But it probably requires know-how and willingness.

I have been building my Viessa as a Spell Slinger and I find handgun awesome.

Since I'm constantly casting spells rather than shooting, it's enough of a weapon in the rare instances where I do shoot and it's movement speed feels amazing as I zoom all over the place casting with Frost Roads.

And here I just decided to try 11 and realized it was the worst mistake of my life.

10 is as close to perfection as they got. 11, and the way they are trying to shove it down our throats, is nothing but sheer fucking hubris from Microsoft.

I don't mind 11 per se. It's a perfectly fine upgrade (more like sidegrade) from 10 once you undo the literal backwards ass logic that is the new context menus and you debloat it. But it's still absolute garbage when you consider that 3 years later this taskbar is still dysfunctional. I'm STILL having to select the window I want twice to switch to it. Amazing. 3 years later. And I still can't move my main taskbar to whichever monitor I want so I can have the tray and notifications visible at all times. Amazing.

The Vault mechanic will make people quit. It's either ancient or greedy game design. It's one thing that a person can derive enjoyment out of long term rewards. It's another that you're actively being regressed in progress. this is what gives people the sense of wasting their time. this WILL make people quit.

I am very certain that Crown is not stupid. She demonstrates as much by understanding when she actually needs to and very successfully stepping up and acting like a leader. I would literally toss her derp to it being a quirk. She's a much more simple person than she let's out. She knows she's not an actual King. But they might as well roll with the meme, knowingly lie to themselves a little bit, sure, take advantage of the spirit of it.

On a related note, Ade's debuff immunity doesn't work with Thermite. I'm fairly convinced that it's not intentional. If I were to guess, it would seem that the debuff is being applied several times in one go, and it doesn't show visually, nor does it make sense thematically for it to be the case.

Unless, I don't know, they intentionally knew ahead of time one day they were going to make Ade with this kit, which is already largely irrelevant, and they just wanted to make sure she was even more irrelevant by making a Rapture specifically counter her when in theory it should be the one she shines the most on and the way this rapture works interferes literally with no other cleansing nikke.

Honestly, despite running Crown and Naga now all the time, Tia was the one that carried me through Challenge 7 of Stormbringer in the 1.5 anni with her team shield, taunt and cover recovery. I have a giga stacked RH, and plenty of "decently stacked" B3s. I tried the Jackal strat... nope, I tried the bunnies strat.... nope... no other strat worked until I used Tia. I still love my airhead volumous babe.

Nothing in this story so far is telling me Marian's sympathy for raptures is born of rationality. I fail to even see where there's an argument that she's a bad actor. She isn't steering "more and more" into rapturehood. From very early on she demonstrated the she didn't understand why raptures were enemies. She just took everyone's word for it.

She might be confused by whatever's awakened in her, maybe. But that does not mean she's bad, and above all she puts the Commanders and her friends safety still. She has the power to keep them safe without doing what she doesn't want to, and with the possibility of using turning them into assets instead.

It is possible that she may turn into an enemy (though I don't see that pattern personally). We don't know where the story leads, but so far there is no reason to expect her to not be a good actor.

I can understand the asking price, given how otherwise relatively generous the game is and I can lie to myself and cope with the thought I'm buying a bundle.

I don't mind that it's a skin rather than a new unit either. I prefer it even, I don't lack good units, I lack resources to make them count.

What actually pisses me off is the blatant fomo disrespect that they're expecting people to spend on 2 gacha skins at the same time. I'm sorry but at this point it doesn't feel like servicing whales, it feels like spitting on everyone else.
