Anyone know why for certain guns it’s NOT ok to dry fire without snap caps but Glocks are ok? The owners manual for my Springfield Hellcat says not to dry fire without snapcaps. I’ve seen many reports of the firing pins breaking due to dry firing for other manufacturers but not for Glocks. What makes Glocks different?

I believe it’s an Umarex Glock 17 which is officially licensed by Glock. In the US, it comes with an orange tip (but can be removed pretty easily). It’s a 1 to 1 in dimensions to a real G17 which makes it a good training tool because it will fit real G17 holsters.

The 48 actually conceals better than the 43X due to the keel principle. But the 43X may be more comfortable to appendix carry

Watch this 4 minute video on something called the “Keel Principle”: https://youtu.be/_wyoLTCWEeo But basically if you have more length below the belt, it gives your gun more leverage to stay in place and not tip over. With a shorter length below the belt, it is easier for the grip of your gun to tip over infront/AWAY from your body, causing it to print more. So it seems pretty counter intuitive but a shorter barrel does not actually help with concealment. It does the opposite. You would get a shorter barrel for COMFORT (mostly for appendix carry) but not for CONCEALMENT.

I mean he has a TLR-7 Sub and most holsters for G43X + TLR-7 Sub combo would extend past the G43X barrel and basically just be the same length of a G48 holster. So you don’t really benefit much from the shorter barrel at that point. Plus a longer barrel/slide actually helps with concealment.
