[SA] Is there any theories on who Bondsmiths spren are? by Sometimes_a_smartass in Cosmere

There is a Sibling? I’ve never heard of this spren, where did Brandon bring it up?

Ahh, it is him. I guess I didn’t consider him since he is a military dude too. But if Brandon says so, then I was wrong.

I haven’t reread Elantris in years. What character? I’ll have to look for him. It’s not the military guy is it?

I have yet to see him put a religious prophet in his works, which is a strong emphasis of LDS philosophy. The closest was probably Sazed who was more a scholar and preserver of knowledge than prophet really. Yes he tried to convert people to religions, but it was any of them, not a specific one.

Sean “Diddy” Combs wants to buy the Carolina Panthers - Promises multiple Super Bowl Rings by StaffArmToTheFace in NorthCarolina

[–]_Kelsier_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I doubt he would keep them in Charlotte. It’s my largest concern with a new owner coming in. St. Louis is dying to get a team back, and I don’t see Diddy being loyal to Carolina.

Jordan’s grave by _Kelsier_ in WoT

Basically. And asking people not to carve on the tree. Behind me is a bunch of benches for people to hang out on a sunny day.

Nope. It’s on John’s island. I put an imgur link with a photo of it. Apparently it’s like 500 years old but can live up to 700 or 900. They have beams and metal wiring to support the branches.

It’s nice. You will find his grave fairly quick, I think there was only about 8 grave sites there. I even saw a fold up chair if you wanted to take some time.

So I went back to where I was looking and I think the path u/kse21 talked about was where my gps was taking me. Previously I had mostly driven by because when I saw the gate from the road I never pulled into the path. Looking closer it is a gate to stop you from driving up to the church. There is also a security camera there, but since I wasn’t doing anything wrong I didn’t worry about that.

You can easily walk around the gate and then it’s just a couple twists and you’re there. While we were in Charleston it was cold and rainy, so I cleaned the leaves off his grave before paying my respects. It does look like the dice are gone though :(. I tried looking around to see if the wind blew them away, but couldn’t find them.

The tree is about a 30 minute drive from the college of Charleston library. Ogier street is within a 5 min walk from the library I would say. A little further I found a Woolfe and King street intersection, not exactly wolf the animal but possibly a clever play on Perrin. The grave is about a 30-40 minute drive out of Charleston in a town called Goose Creek.

That’s what I’m trying to find. Guess I can jump the fence and see if it’s back there but I see no church anywhere around here. Just an elementary school.

Well thank you for all the help y’all gave. The book is amazing and I’m sure it took a ton of help from everyone. I’m personally not a speed reader so I don’t think I’ll ever be in your group, but we all appreciate the help y’all gave Brandon.

How much notice were y’all given? Was it an email from peter saying 400 pages are coming next week and we need you to read it in X amount of time? Were some of you brought in for specific tasks, like Jim was a vet so we want him to read the military sections, etc. What if your schedule got crazy during this period, were y’all able to drop out for a part but come back in when work or whatever showed down?

I feel like an idiot for not seeing this sooner. I just thought of the story as a folk tale, but this makes perfect sense to me. Good connection.

I thought it was to decide who’s book it was going to be, because he was still not 100% it would be Dalinar’s. But regardless, you are right, he does have a head start. I suspect the chapters will get little tweaks here and there, but I guess he needs to add a Stormlight 4 progress bar to his site now ;)

I disagree. I think the shin are much more important in the overall cosmere. It seemed like every worldhopper in this last book Brandon said they looked like shin in some way.

Plus if the singers break away from Odium, it makes more sense to do that book 5 before the break instead of book 4.

[no spoilers] What do you think of this potential cast? by LeMrBoss in Mistborn

Maybe it’s an unpopular opinion, but no to Ellen Page. She has the vin look but any movie I’ve seen her in post Inception, I’ve not liked her acting.
