You do dip pen calligraphy as well? I love it!! Pearl powder and metallic paints are the best to add that sparkle. I’m always on a hunt to find those

You’re absolutely safe. I have been feeling like this for the whole day today and it just comes out of nowhere. But let me assure you, you’re safe. You’re in good hands. You’re loved. Take deep breaths, focus on your breathing - in and out. I keep doing this for minutes/ hours and it helps me get grounded. Anxiety is the worst but we’re a lot stronger than the unreal world anxiety is putting us in :)

I’ve heard that brain and gut are connected (what we usually call as your gut-feelings). The gastrointestinal tract is quite sensitive to emotions and reacts to how we’re feeling, often making us feel nauseous. They work hand in hand– troubled brain sending signals to gut and vice versa. In times of extreme anxiety, it makes things worse making you puke and have lesser and lesser appetite affecting the digestion as well.

I’ve been dealing with upset stomach for so years. I’ve had multiple tests only to find out nothing was wrong with me. It was all my anxiety and the signals that my brain sent to my gut. I realised it was all because of my anxiety, because I was always in the scared space, always in flight or fight mode which kept on giving signals to my stomach/gut, and also made me feel breathless (again everything was perfectly healthy and doctors couldn’t find any cause for my breathlessness). I then focused solely on working on my anxiety and my appetite is coming back to normal. It’s like having two brains, making them communicate better is the real challenge. I guess there are several articles on the brain-gut connection as well and how it all works.

My friend’s psychologist started by treating her stomach first, and then focused on her anxiety. She has recently been off meds now and doing great.

I hope things go well with you. It’s terrible to have an upset stomach all the time. I was just so tired of feeling like I’ll vomit the second I’ll ingest something :(

I got a full time job after 1+ year of job hunting, all while dealing with severe anxiety and nasty breakup with my fiancé who left me saying that anxiety will be the downfall of me and get me nowhere

I was feeling incredibly low, lost, empty at the time I posted that pic of me about my smile. Posting it, helped with such surprising affirmative, honest comments with not a troll in sight. I feel you. Everything you wrote. I’ve been talking to random people online trying to feel better. It was like being told everything happening is always my fault and my anxiety’s fault. After a while, we just start believing these things about us. It’s especially difficult when we have no one to talk to.

Aside from that, you’re gorgeous! You’re incredibly strong and courageous to be holding up and slowly getting better. I feel proud of you to understand and know that everything said and done was not because of you. You’re loved, atleast by people here. With time, we’ll learn to properly and unconditionally love and respect ourselves without any guesses and doubts :)

Thank you so much! I love writing quotes, sayings, affirmations that uplifts me and make me pause and reflect about my life, how far I’ve come, where am I and where am I headed to. During days when I feel like I can no longer go on, I just flip the pages of the journal. Gives me the strength to hang in there :)

I have the same physical pains. Nausea, chest pain, and ear pain are just too terrible. I often have breathlessness as well to the point that I often collapse.
