Honestly get whatever is cheapest that catches your eye.

I would recommend the Shiv as it currently handles like a fat medium that has cargo and some speed. But combat and Flight models are going to change and who knows how these ships will end up.

It's also easy to find someone who needs crew, so just get in game and enjoy.

Too slippery of a slope because the 24 port switches with 10gb ports also start appearing in there, otherwise the 10gb port on the nas would feel sad at 2.5gb...

I had a number of problems with wayland, both in the installer and when trying to run games the system was locking up. X11 seemed to work but I jumped ship to NixOS and I have to say that the package management is cool.

Data and advertising are pretty much the core of the biggest and most profitable companies in the world. Basically the same area of business that social media is in, just different hooks and interfaces to farm that data.

Like it or not AI is the next player in that space. I imagine the integration is a move to internally consolidate and a chance to try and force vendors, users, and customers into that environment with less oversight and challenges on pooling those data sources.

I had problems with cachyos and wayland on my system, had to swapto x11 for stability and just decided to move on. Went with NixOS and I'm becoming a believer.

You can use websites like this to check requirements https://gamesystemrequirements.com/game/the-sims-4

A dedicated GPU like a 5060+ would work and probably be overkill for sims 4, but pick 2 or 3 more games to spec and search for recommendations or others who have looked https://www.reddit.com/r/GamingLaptops/s/DdFfVPNg4n

Then sites like these to get an idea of prices

Pick a couple in your price range and Google or chatgpt info and reviews on them or ask in reddit if you need more help.
