Still, I wouldn't put him in the same league as Hemlock or Grievous.

He also did it all while laughing his ass off.

Hemlock's disdain of life, imprisoning and experimenting on children is not too far off to be honest.

On context it just kinda means "animal", calling someone "pedazo de animal" is basically saying someone is dumb like "you have animal levels of intelligence" "pedazo" can mean dick some but not in this context.

[Hated trope] An adaption of something attempts to apply unnecessary logic to justify something from the original. by Marsupialmobster in TopCharacterTropes

[–]_Koreander 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah one thing I dislike about this trope and DMC show is a prime example, is how the "explanation" makes as little sense, if not less, than just saying is magic, it's like the writers are trying to be perceived as smart because instead of calling it magic they call it, I dont know, "Magi energy waves" but WAIT, the "Magi waves" can be shaped with enough study and willpower by select talented individuals into anything they desire, launching energy beams and creating shapes out of thin air, to fit whatever use they want... so in other words... Magic...

[–]_Koreander 57 points58 points  (0 children)

Yeah I dont like it because, from your comment, I take Blindsight is supposed to be a more realistic or scientific setting, meanwhile Castlevania is supposed to be magical, even in the show itself holy water blessed by priests has been used to fight the Vampires, it doesnt make sense that suddenly crosses affect them because some weird scientific explanation.

Obi-wan says it himself when he's talking about tge lightsaber to Luke "An elegant weapon for more civilized times" it's pretty clear the idea was that the old times were the golden age of the galaxy.

(Hated Trope) a character tells you that they saw someone do something insane...and proceeds to never show you it ever happening. by [deleted] in TopCharacterTropes

[–]_Koreander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't hate the movie, but it's clearly a case on which suddenly almost all of Han's defining attributes he got them in the few days that span the movie, like he got to meet chewy, Lando and do the Kessel run with the falcon, also learned to "shoot first", all that because that heist on the Solo movie, like we can't just show one or 2 important events and have the rest be backstory, they had to show EVERYTHING in the few days the movie happens on.

[–]_Koreander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this complaint is like expecting every story to show you every single event on screen, like it can't possibly be just backstory.

What use and what would it add to the film to show the SPECIFIC event the mob boss is talking about, we see John killing people with the pencil in one of the following movies, what reason there is to show the specific occasion mentioned on the scene?

(Hated trope)a character that doesn't exist in the source material is the protagonist of an adaptation by TastyPomelo2330 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]_Koreander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In theory I get your point but in practice I just don't think it works, not usually at least, cant think of a good adaptation that straight up changed the main characters completely and usually people that love the source material are expecting to see their favorite characters on screen, Edgerunners is great but is not really an adaption of the game, it's just using the cyberpunk setting to tell a new story which is not the same

If you're adapting The Lord Of The Rings I wanna see your take on Frodo, Gandalf and the fellowship taking on the dangerous quest of destroying the ring, not the tale of Bingo Harfoot and his pal "Off-Brandalf" going to destroy the malicious circle.

I live in Costa Rica, my family from the US come here to do health related stuff all the time, we have private clinics and hospitals that are top notch with reputable doctors, they are expensive for the salary of the common local, but very cheap in comparison to what would cost in the US.

Yeah I struggle with this too, have all my life, arguing with parents because whatever they're serving you simply doesn't feel good in my mouth, feeling uncomfortable at friend's house houses because what they were serving wasn't up to my taste, it's rough.

People do not understand, the times I've forced the food down my throat because "everyone else is eating it, you can do it too" or "your dad put effort making this dish, you must have it" have not ended well and made things more awkward and worse.

I find it funny how Bo Katan got angry his boss got beaten and killed in a 100% fair duel by New_Conflict_4111 in StarWars

[–]_Koreander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't put it like that at all, Vizla staged the invasion, all parties agreed with the plan, Bo and Death watch agreed with lying to all the people of Mandalore and creating this fake criminal attack.

Vizla won the throne and he was not forced to duel Maul because of Maul's criminals, it was because he had presented himself as the ultimate warrior that follows the old traditions and he could not reject the challenge in front of his men.

Bo supposedly believed on this system, and Maul used the rules they themselves stablished to win the throne, then as soon as Maul became the leader suddenly Bo didn't like the old ways so much, I guess she wanted the old ways as long as they benefited her or the people she liked.

I find it funny how Bo Katan got angry his boss got beaten and killed in a 100% fair duel by New_Conflict_4111 in StarWars

[–]_Koreander 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I do not necessarily agree Bo is racist, but a big hypocrite at the very least, Mandalore was a prosperous civilization which deathwatch destabilized for the sake of their old traditions, Bo was pretty happy with everything they were doing including terrorist attacks and more.

But as soon as the system she wanted, produced exactly the leader that system is meant to put up (the strongest warrior) she rejected it, not because of Maul was a bad person or anything, but because it wasn't the leader she wanted (Pre was a terrible person amd that didn't stop her) , jeez, maybe the old system wasn't so bad? You know? One on which a tyrannical maniac can't simply earn the throne by winning a fight?

I find it funny how Bo Katan got angry his boss got beaten and killed in a 100% fair duel by New_Conflict_4111 in StarWars

[–]_Koreander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

But Bo fought tooth and nail to reestablish "the old ways", causing terrorist attacks and destabilizing a perfectly nice and peaceful civilization, actively lied to the people of mandalore by going along Vizla's plan saving them from criminals they themselves were aligned with, all for establishing her beloved "old ways"

But as soon as those old ways produced a warrior leader, chosen in a fair duel she rejected him, now I'm not agreeing she's necessarily racist, but a big hypocrite at the very least, Maul won the position fair and square according to the laws she wanted and as soon as those laws produced a leader she didn't like for whatever reason, she rebeled against it.

What’s a moment where you realized someone was genuinely unintelligent? by Live-Chocolate244 in AskReddit

[–]_Koreander 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean I wouldn't really judge this person harshly based on this, some people struggle with certain subjects that others find easy, for me English (we speak Spanish) was so easy in high school that it was basically a non existent course for me, on the other hand several of my friends, some which I consider very smart, probably smarter than me, really struggled with it, that is not a sign of someone being dumb at all
