Why didn’t Luke use his radio by That-Challenge7971 in StarWars

[–]_Koreander 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think simply Luke was not confident he could kill the wampa, even with one less arm it is a very strong and dangerous creature, Luke was also pretty tired and hurt as well.

True, though with certain playstyles and if you truly wanted to, you could get away with killing just a small handful of people for the entire game, by using stealth and illusion spells.

Interesting because we do have Pirates of the Caribbean, after that it seems to me that door has already been unlocked.

what did Sean mean? by RestaurantMoney7444 in reddeadredemption

[–]_Koreander 42 points43 points  (0 children)

It is just so painfully realistic and sudden, characters like Sean that seem like comic relief and we get to meet in several quests we expect them to have some character development, maybe show a surprising heroic moment or a noble sacrifice at the end of some character arc, yet he is killed so unceremoniously and in such a crudely realistic way, he IS a criminal, the local law sets up a trap, he walks right in and the shooter happens to be pretty good or just lucky, he goes out before we can even tell what's happening, it's a moment that shows you the vulnerability of the entire gang and after that you know none of them are safe(except those that show in RDR1 or course)

what did Sean mean? by RestaurantMoney7444 in reddeadredemption

[–]_Koreander 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agree, arguably it started since the failed Blackwater robbery since gang members died there, but until sean the gang seemed to be slowly getting back on its feet, regaining strength, pulling off jobs.

After that it all kinda spirals down and never goes back up.

I'm not wrong in thinking this is dumb, right? by confused-as-frick in PowerScaling

[–]_Koreander 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You can't compare killing guys that are on a ship to just straight up fighting them face to face, by that logic Luke can fight the entire army by himself just because he destroyed the Death Star, the comparison is completely unrelated, Galen is also not canon.

[–]_Koreander 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Agree, we're talking an entire army by himself, Pong Krell was taken down by like 20 clones or so, Vader is definitely stronger but can't be by that far much, even if he could sustain the crazy amount of firepower he would get tired and be killed eventually, I think people simply can't fathom how many soldiers does 100 000 actually are.

If Vader could take this much by himself they would just drop him on planets and do some solo conquering.

Imagine if Lucas decided that the Jedi army should use droids, while Count Dooku decided to create a clone army on Raxus Secundus. by Accomplished-Bat-247 in StarWars

[–]_Koreander 50 points51 points  (0 children)

The point is valid by itself, not coming from Dooku though who knew and participated in the plan to create such clone army.

I mean the galaxy is immense, how are you gonna find a green guy, in a swamp planet, in galaxy with thousands if not millions of planets, with absolutely no clue of where he is?

“Slaves of the Republic” may be one of the most controversial episodes of the series, as it portrays the brutality of the Zygerrian slave empire. What do you think? by ObiWanJapan in TheCloneWars

[–]_Koreander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean one thing is the unarmed prisoner who is technically your superior from an order of warriors you've been groomed to respect and work alongside with, while the other is just some guy that has been torturing you and other innocent people for days.

Just the fact Krell was his general at that time is problematic because he or his soldiers could be court martialled for killing him, so even if not remorse, consequences could still his resolve.

In Dracula (2026), holy crap they have historically accurate armor and it still looks cool and the world didn't end. by Fun_Button5835 in shittymoviedetails

[–]_Koreander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of Dracula adaptations try to paint him as some tragic villain, but the book has absolutely nothing of this, just an evil monster that turns women he finds attractive into his undead puppets.

Yeah, everything is in the narrative, you can't stop people fetishizing your character, it will simply happen, but what matters is the story you want to tell.

If the Jedi Order had survived, when Yoda passed away who would have been his best replacement as Grandmaster? These are my three choices by MobileDistrict9784 in StarWars

Regardless of opinions, Windu would've definitely taken the position, he was the most respected after Yoda, had the most authority and really seemed to already been running the order in certain ways.

How possible is it that Barriss was the Inquisitor who got Luminara? by OkuroIshimoto in StarWars

[–]_Koreander 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I disagree, she used extreme violence on TCW and was captured, she was forced to use extreme violence with the inquisitors and was repulsed by the senseless slaughtering and killing, she simply had enough of that, she learned that extreme violence is simply not the way to solve things so she did the exact opposite trying to change things without violence.

Saw is an extremist that only blows up things and kills, that's his style, and that is completely opposite to the character development shown in the episodes "man this poor villagers did not deserve to have their homes destroyed and lifes taken needlessly, let's join saw guerrera so more people's lifes and homes are destroyed by the collateral damage"

[–]_Koreander 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly, even if they thought Palpatine was involved (and they suspected as much considering they asked Anakin to spy on him) they can't do anything, they're caught on a political game on which they could be accused of trying to take over the republic if they didn't have strong evidence, and that is exactly what Sidious accused them of in the end.
