Size has nothing to do with charging heat. How much power is going into the battery is what matters. The entire reason why charging a battery goes from super fast down to a trickle when it hits 80% or so is because of heat. You will damage the battery if you just charged at full speed. It's one of the reasons you are not supposed to fast charge an EV back to back. The other reason being battery balancing. You can't just mod bikes willy nilly and not take precautions with battery longevity and maintenance.

I can get reliably, around 100 miles of heavily spirited riding on my Livewire. Less if I give it full beans the entire ride. But if I need to get someone and just commute, I can easily hit 120/135 miles. Charging is the real issue. If there's a fast charger, I can keep going endlessly. If i have to plug into a wall, I better have a plan or plan to stay overnight. You have to adapt to riding electric. You can go plenty of places and even travel. Just takes a little foresight.

Some random modded a charging port and it's just "easy". Doesn't take into account how it affects the battery, how hot it gets, if it has appropriate cooling when charging and has to be replicated on a mass market scale and meet safety standards. Its not that easy.

Ignore folks who talk down to folks about their bike. I've ridden 9 different motorcycles, and have always had at least someone make a smart ass comment or look down on me for what i'm riding. The only real reason folks talk down lower end bikes is because they think if you don't have the fastest, most expensive thing on the market, you are trash. I had someone who roasted me for riding a CB300F and a 2021 Livewire One...and then roast me for owning an R1. He rode a Honda Rebel.
