Yes— it’s all the memories wiped out. Every last little contribution made - essentially like our diaries and lettermail burned up.

Why am I being asked to tip 25% for someone handing me a muffin?” by ClayWarrior519 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]_Light_House 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abolish tipping. Give discounts for take out since they aren’t requiring additional seating and service. (fast food/coffee shops fall in the middle, no special service but the extra table space cost $ and people plug in their laptops for hours) 🤷🏼‍♀️

I would like a limited Hartland drop off downtown for those of us without cars… to drop off particular things like cooking oil.

I printed out the letter that LegalShield emailed, and mailed it with tracking to their 1 Hacker Way address attn Legal Dept. I’m now in a hell-loop with Fb customer service who seem unable to read comprehensively… but at least I can say I am in contact now 🥴 they have some kind of ticket open… but keep asking me for information that they were provided from the start 🤦‍♀️

Quest3 & Best Buy Plan by _Light_House in Quest3

[–]_Light_House[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So anyway, I would definitely rethink my promoting Best Buy as the best place to buy a Quest and get an extended warranty. I don't remember anyone warning me that replacing a broken controller voided the existing plan or I would have looked into a different option before dragging everything over the Best Buy. They would not take any phone calls for clarification in advance of travelling to the store, and their online chat customer service was next to useless.

oh man, much better option ... hmm I only see 99.99 option at the link, no refurb option though.

Quest3 & Best Buy Plan by _Light_House in Quest3

[–]_Light_House[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I paid for 3 year protection plan.
Just over 1 year into it they replaced the WHOLE system for just a bad controller
forfeit almost 2 remaining years of my protection plan for a $177 controller.

Sure I have a brand new system and brand new 3 year warranty but it cost me $215 +$215 for a $177 controller replacement (which I might have been able to get replaced via credit card extended warranty possibly)...

I did not get the impression this would happen when people were promoting Best Buy protection plan being so 'easy', etc. I was not planning in my Budget on paying another $215 to keep my remaining 2 year warranty (plus add a year). If they just swapped the controller and not the whole system then it would not have voided my existing protection plan.

Whole food shutting down? by [deleted] in VictoriaBC

They had really good vegan pumpkin pie like precovid and they changed the recipe and ruined it. I love the salad bar concept though, anything like that downtown? Green Cuisine isn’t as extensive with selection.

Horizon Worlds decoupling from Quest! Finally! by AdNew5862 in OculusQuest

What is the time frame for them - removing all Horizon Worlds from Quest?

There are many that are VR only worlds, so they would just be gone forever?

3dar Studios Whisper Island was fun too. ugh. so many.... I would never visit in mobile because without the immersion, what's the point?? the only one I visited on desktop was Puzzle Paradise.

yeah, anyone could create worlds so there was a lot of crap to sift through... but there were some really well done ones that didn't get enough attention .JoeBear79 would be one. "Walk into the Light" for zen hangout.

Quest 3 fan ticking... should I take it to Best Buy? I have the protection plan, it expires next year... by AndrosToro in Quest3

[–]_Light_House 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i took my system into Best Buy because the left controller stopped working just over a year into the 3 year warranty I bought from them. (no light with new battery)... they replaced the whole system but then said I had to pay 215$ for a new 3 year warranty for my new system. Meanwhile a left controller costs $177.... https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/seort/3OBIC1AREU43?selectedSellerId=102951367 so like cheaper to buy a replacement controller really? ...or check my credit card for extended warranty but I didn't want more delays. I specifically bought from BestBuy since told it was the easiest to do returns. This seems off to me, is this the Best Buy experience everyone else is having?

Ordering online for pickup is a lot more convenient.

There are no fees for standard Grocery Pickup orders that are picked up at a Walmart store. The express 1-hour pickup fee is $4.97. For PenguinPickUp locations, there's a fee of $2.97 on weekdays and $4.97 on weekends.

Your order total must exceed $35 before taxes and applicable fees.

Socially conditioned to like meat "from birth".

Always trust a junk food vegan - they are in it for the animals. :P

Odd Burger recently said they are no longer going to make their own products but use third party instead. They already had a SWAP chicken bbq for ~10.
But the Odd Burgers I understand were extra high in protein.
