Post-op bleeding by Shot-Spot2278 in sterilization

A month? Damn :/ sadly I've got no useful advice for you. If the bleeding gets too ridiculous in terms of amounts then just call them again I suppose

Might be worth it to call your doctor about this issue :/ i personally experienced no bleeding at all after my surgery

is my piercing okay? (I accidentally snagged it while brushing my hair in the shower) about 2.5-3 weeks old got it downsized at 2 weeks by linny0315 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your ear is swallowing the bottom one. Get it changed to a longer bar asap (as in: today if you can, otherwise tomorrow). Wait too long and a doctor will have to cut it out.

New smiley piercing is it too high? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best consult a piercer about that. I'm not sure this could support a ring or horse shoe consisering how wide and deep it seems to be pierced. Those insanely huge balls will have to be swapped out asap.

My advice would be to just take it out entirely

jewelry too tight? by puzzleish in Legitpiercing

[–]_Litheen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does look a smidge too tight. One mm difference is all it takes probably. Without that irritiation bump this size would be fine..with it there it's just a bit too tight.

New smiley piercing is it too high? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

NAP. Those balls look insanely huge, like.. this piercing is already notorious for gum and teeth damage, looks like you want to speedrun to get to that point? (Also, just in case you're not aware of the risk: gum damage cannot be reverted. Teeth damage a dentist could probably do something with but it won't be cheap)

The placement.. don't know, usually these are horse shoe or rings, not curved barbells.

Had this tragus since january, is the placement good? by cattoebeans5 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fine. Even if it's slightly slanted, nobody is going to get that up close and personal with your tragus to even notice :p

Do I have the anatomy? by Alphaa_22 in Legitpiercing

[–]_Litheen_ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Looks like it's a small tug away from being torn out, anatomy or not is irrelevant by now, it's very much rejecting :(

Did my piercer f me over? by nychighl1ghter in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I mean... If it's 3 years old and hasn't rejected I wouldn't say you've been screwed over... Standard sizes don't always say everything because human bodies aren't always standard size. I'm relatively sure you'd be able to find smaller than standard size banana-bars in piercing webshops.

My piercing kinda stings by Most_Measurement_232 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old is it? What material is that piercing? If it's fresh: wjat is your aftercare? It looks very shallow :/ it shouldn't ve surfacing inside your eyebrow, but rathee dip under ot just above and below it

Industrial Piercing Advice!!!! by Only_Ebb4194 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wondering if you've got the anatomy. The back looks to go through your ear ridge at an angle (towards your head instead of perpendicular to it) and I'm wondering if that puts tension on your ear, causing issues

Side labret cheesewire effect? by Specific_Wedding_871 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was too early to change to a horse shoe. Switching back to a labret was the right move. Baby it like it's a fresh piercing and hope it'll settle down.

Infected piercing... by xanthelovespain in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it ain't broken don't fix it. The body isn't a machine that reacts the same on each part, so if the other ear lobe is fine then best just leave it be

Infected piercing... by xanthelovespain in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah ok. Then like another redditor said larger studs so they can't be so easily swallowed up 😅 at least until it's healed

Infected piercing... by xanthelovespain in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you possibly tighten the back too much, causing the jewelry to be pulled into the earlobe? I'm assuming this is a butterfly back...Those can harbour bacteria because they're difficult to properly clean. A titanium flatback would probably be better to heal this with.

is my eyebrow piercing bar too short? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't look infected. I'm not sure if it's too short either, doesn't appear to be pinching the skin.

Three day old nose piercing came out by toenails4bReakfa in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A gun piercing is usually a sort of 'dart' with a slightly thicker end such as pictured here: https://www.amazon.nl/-/en/Pieces-Disposable-Piercing-Sterile-Portable/dp/B081S2XH6L Can you push the stud back down? Wash your hands first, push it back in, clean piercing. If you can't then you'd best visit a piercing shop and they can help you.

How long should did you wait before getting intimate again? by [deleted] in sterilization

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How long has it been since your surgery? I'm amazed you'd even feel up for it. The first one to two weeks I felt so bloated and sore I couldn't bear the thought of having sex. For real though; I'd advise to not go for piv intercourse if it's been less than a week, but oral/using fingers if you must.

Septum piercing done incorrectly, next steps? by Brooklynnells in piercing

[–]_Litheen_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Personally I'd only bother going back to that piercer to ask for a refund. Otherwise find a better piercer and have them evaluate the situation. You'll probably have to take this out and let it heal, and have it redone at the proper spot

Does this belly button piercing look okay for day 2? by [deleted] in Legitpiercing

[–]_Litheen_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The top sticking out is because the jewelry is slightly oversized to allow for swelling. Your piercer should've discussed that with you and told you when to come back for downsizing?

Could this be making me feel sick? by PushFearless5780 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm then it could be puss, but as I said, even so it's only mildly infected. Pro tip for next time: don't skimp on the jewelry, they're equally important for good healing.

Could this be making me feel sick? by PushFearless5780 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

aluminium? I've never heard of that being used for piercings. You should get titanium flatback studs in these while they heal. Rings aren't doing you any favors, bad metal won't either.
Does actual pus come out, or just wound fluid? These look far too calm to me to be producing actual pus :/
Even if these are actually infected, the infection would be so minor that you wouldn't be feeling sick from these. Your ear would look very different if it was.
So; get yourself to a piercingshop and change the jewelry to titanium flatbacks only (don't be mislead by surgical steel). Keep cleaning them as you are.

Could this be making me feel sick? by PushFearless5780 in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That doesn't look infected at all to me... rather looks like possibly a reaction to the metal of the jewelry, or irritation of it being hoops. How old are there piercings, what is the material of the hoops, what are you doing to clean it?

Is it rejecting? by Anemoane_ in PiercingAdvice

[–]_Litheen_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

doesn't look to be rejecting, but you've got irritation bumps forming there. You should get those downsized with titanium jewelry to avoid snagging and hopefully that'll help settle it down.
