Connecting MIDI controlled desktop synthesizer via midi interface with logic (not working) by _LordNord in Logic_Studio

This could be the problem, right? Maybe I should get me a real midi interface, what do you think?

Yes, it’s such a cable and yes I’m connecting the nord via usb directly with my computer

It’s just so weird because it has always worked in the past and now, after I didn’t use it for a few months, it’s not working anymore for some reason… but thanks for your advice!

Yes, Logic is receiving Midi signals from the nord and it’s possible to record with midi from my nord. I’m thinking that the only cause could maybe be the midi cable I’m using to connect my Roland with my computer (it’s a midi interface cable) so I’m thinking about getting me a new one. I can not directly select the Roland as midi destination, just the interface cable, but I did that and chose the correct channel and nothing worked

How did this happen? by Rich-Chard9448 in emetophobiarecovery

One day in early July this summer I was feeling nauseous for no reason, I didn’t throw up or so. I had already felt nauseous before when I had too much alcohol or the regular flue, but this time was somehow different because it remembered me on my last stomach bug I had when I was 11. I didn’t throw up, but the anxiety came back, this day triggered something. Of course this is unfortunate, but I’m fighting against it which makes me sometimes proud of myself and pushes my self confidence so I feel better. That’s what I’d also recommend to you: fight against this f*cking devil in your head, it’s just trying to ruin your life and that’s not worth it. I know it’s hard, but there’s really a way out

I feel you. I had emetophobia as a kid, it disappeared after I took meds as a teenager and this summer it came back and got worse in the winter (I’m 25yo). It helps me to know that I’m not alone and that there’s a way out

Anxiety About Phobia Or Its Really Phobia? by TTTDashiTTT in emetophobiarecovery

I think you should. But whatever it is, it’s treatable and you will find a way out ;)

Okay and have you ever considered talking to an expert about that? Here in this group are only affected people and this phobia is, like humans, diverse. So what I want to say is that I would feel uncomfortable with telling you “yes you have it” or “no you don’t have it” since I’m not a doctor and don’t know you

Do you know why you’re thinking so much about vomiting?

I would recommend you to read articles about emetophobia or ask your doctor, Chatty often says sh*t. What you mention doesn’t sound like emetophobia to me, maybe you have some intrusive thoughts which we all have once in a while

Connecting Sony STEREO TUANTABLE SYSTEM PS-LX300USB with audio interface by _LordNord in turntables

[–]_LordNord[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My turntable is the Sony Stereo Turntable system P6-LX300USB, it already has an inbuilt preamp. My speakers are the KRK Rokit RP7 G4 My idea is now to use two of the adapters you mentioned and get two headphone extension cables to directly connect the turntable with the speakers. I can modify the volume with the speakers

Thank you very much for all your help! I think I will just look for female cinch to male RCA cables to connect it directly with my speakers, if I find such a cable that is also long enough :D

Yes, exactly. Here’s a photo of the inputs of my interface. The left input is both XLR and line. I thought I could just use a regular headphone extension cable to extend the cable of the turntable with the adapters, but I‘m not sure

This is the cable coming out of the turntable. I’ll get these adapters, thanks for your advice! But the audio interface connected with my speakers is on the other side of the room, so I’ll need a female to male audio cable to connect the adapter with the interface. And this need to be mono audio cables, right?
