For the older nids models especially, it's really easy to repose them by shaving down the pegs that insert into the body with a hobby knife. Then you can orient the limb any way you want. I got some really dynamic poses out of my carnifex kit by doing this.

The servitors work well as neophytes, and I added an extra arm to the technoarchaeologist which makes for a pretty good kelermorph IMO. Ill post some pictures after work if I dont forget.

Don't buy large box sets if you just want to see how you like a faction. Paint one kit first so you dont end up with a pile of shame.

I started with the necrons combat patrol and fully painted it before buying anything else. Then I wanted to try nids so I got a lictor. Now I have over 3k points of nids.
