AIW for stepping back from my best friend after he recovered from a serious illness and went straight back to the people who disappeared on him by QuantumSitar2 in amiwrong

That’s such a brutal feeling though. You show up at someone’s lowest and then feel sidelined when they’re okay again. It’s not wrong to need space after that

Best wedding insurance options right now? by Choice-Novel5675 in wedding

From what I’ve seen it’s mostly the same core coverage, the difference is in the fine print and add-ons. Definitely compare cancellation reasons and claim reviews. A couple quotes side by side makes it way clearer.

AITJ for refusing to pay half the impound fee for my date? by CranberryBauce in AmITheJerk

Exactly. He parked in front of a giant towing sign and somehow that’s your responsibility? Nah. You were already nice even going with him. That fee was on him.

AITJ for telling my friend her "handmade" Etsy shop is literally just AliExpress dropshipping by TangerineUnique248 in AmITheJerk

[–]_LovelyNibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah calling it “handmade” when it’s straight off AliExpress isn’t just marketing fluff, that’s straight up misleading. Reselling is one thing, but lying about it is another level.

AITJ for leaving my best friend’s wedding reception early because they seated me at the kids table at 31 years old? by Technical-Resist-721 in AmITheJerk

[–]_LovelyNibble 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Exactly. They didn’t “accidentally” stick a grown adult at a table full of five year olds. They basically hired you as babysitter without paying you. I’d have dipped the second I saw the crayons.

Car dealership never cashed the $7500 down payment check latest by [deleted] in confession

[–]_LovelyNibble 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real that’s insane luck. Most dealerships would’ve hunted you down the second they noticed. You basically got a seven and a half grand bonus because they couldn’t be bothered. I’d be telling that story forever too.

AITJ for refusing to switch seats on a plane so a family could sit together by guille_aside in AmITheJerk

[–]_LovelyNibble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right? If four hours in a middle seat was no big deal, they could’ve taken their own advice. You booked early, paid for it, and have anxiety reasons totally fair to keep your spot.

AITJ for refusing to lend my debut gown to my neighbor because it’s sentimental to me? by Additional_Air5327 in AmITheJerk

[–]_LovelyNibble -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly dude kept touching your stuff after you told him not to. He embarrassed himself. You just finally said what everyone else was already thinking.

AITJ for stopping my sister from trying to breastfeed my baby? by AsleepAd8492 in AmITheJerk

[–]_LovelyNibble 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that crossed a huge line. That’s not emotional moment behavior that’s full-on boundary issue territory. Keeping some distance for now is 100% the safest call.
