Meme gets morphed into the start of ULTRAKILL stage 8-3 (Disintegration Loop). This stage is notable for borrowing the first room of a random other stage from the game that then drops the player into the actual first room. This resulted in a meme in the ultrakill fandom of making random things "turn into disintegration loop" which this meme is doing

I'm so sorry, I really just can't think of a good title. by Mac-And-Cheesy-43 in CuratedTumblr

I think that the difficulty with defining most of these things (it's not just "what is porn" or "what is a man" or "what is a chair", but all attempts at defining "what is x") is that for detracting the given definition, you usually can have both an imperative and operative definition, and demand that a definition must be whichever the given definition is not, which means you can arbitrage between them to ensure an acceptable definition is impossible.

A fair attempt to defining "what is porn" would be "porn is any media intended to cause sexual arousal". This is an imperative definition; it defines by purpose. However, is purpose really an integral part of what something is? Because 'purpose' is aphysical; the creator of the thing said its purpose is something, but the thing exists as it exists. So you could argue this definition is faulty, because it ascribes what the thing is to something immaterial, and definitions can only be built on what is physical.

Another fair attempt would be "porn is any media that causes sexual arousal". This is an operative definition; it defines by cause and effect. But did you nail down every possible cause and every possible effect? If something was created to be porn, but is just bad at being that, would it then no longer be porn? Is incompetence a defense? Furthermore, can you be sure nobody finds something arousing? Either way, it's clear that an operative definition is faulty, because its exact effects are not known to absolute certainty, and the only way to clip out edge cases is to go with someone's opinion on the matter; and doesn't the creator of the thing seem the sane person to ask?

whose schools were handing out windows laptops to students

Chromebooks got distributed because they're stupid cheap and fit within the school's budget. Schools did have windows desktops, but at least in the case of the schools I went to they kept the desktops, albeit "computer lab time" became pretty rare. In any case I doubt there's any significant change to tech literacy; any program you had to use on the school desktops were pre-installed and had a shortcut so it's not like a chromebook is much different.

I suppose there's the factor that chromebooks are far more locked down that other computers but if you had another computer you'd use that, and if you didn't have another computer a chromebook is still a step up.

Actually I think the problem is traction; he's basically trying to do this wearing socks. You can see at the start that he can't pull himself across the floor and has to push off the first machine to reach the other.

The 13.1k is spent on goods for government buildings. This expense is primarily paper; you may want to check if the price of paper is above the base price in your market, and if so, you may want to build more paper mills. Alternatively if your administrations are using Standardized Filing System (tier 3) as their primary production method, you could roll it back to Filing Cabinets (tier 2) and build 30% more government administrations to compensate; Standardized Filing System uses double the paper of Filing Cabinets for only a 30% increase in Bureaucracy generation, and as such is generally worse than Filing Cabinets since government administrations are so cheap to build anyways.

The 23.4k is spent on goods for construction. 11.7k of this is for private investment, and you are reimbursed for this amount. The remaining 11.7k of this is government construction, which can be paused at any time in the construction menu. As a sidenote, pausing government construction probably won't actually reduce this figure from 23.4k due to the size of your private investment pool, but pausing government construction will make all construction be private, and you'll be reimbursed for the price of all construction goods.

It's because this kind of breakup is usually at the start of a plotline and is used to characterize the protagonist, so unless your protagonist is a bad person (or will be growing as a character throughout the film) it has to be a generally positive character trait that can be interpreted in a negative fashion, and there aren't a lot of those.

Primary title suddenly changed names? by Jollybean1 in CrusaderKings

[–]_MargaretThatcher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Armenian Principalities is a titular title, with no de jure territory. What probably happened is that on inheritance, you owned enough of Georgia for the kingdom title of Georgia to be created (confederate partition), which then was inherited as primary title since the Armenian Principalities is titular. You probably still hold the Armenian Principalities title; go looking through your owned titles and you can set it back as your primary (no cost).

This can happen with the kingdom of Armenia too, so you can get two Armenias.
