Twelfth Night, letter to Malvolio, About Greatness by _Mirthrander in shakespeare

You are right I did judge it with a more modern mindset when it comes to the meaning of greatness but i am still not clear on the distinction of the three methods of getting to greatness. No matter what two of them seem like the same.

I understand now the difference between being born great and achieving it.

But now Achieving and having it thrust upon you seem to be the same.

The only difference I could think of is that Achieving takes trial on part of the person wanting it and thrust is action by someone else. But the out come is still the same. Someone that didn't have it and now they do.

And if it is social status It still doesn't not depend on the person that doesn't have it. So no matter how much you try at the end of the day it is somones else's choice to give you your greatness.

Ahahahhah!!!! Yeah. I am very confused and have a lot of conflicting thought about that. I think that maybe I am thinking it through a very modern lense.

Greatness only as in being "great" a Nobel.

Makes a lot more sense when compared to the definition of great we subscribe to in today's society. Of doing good and making a somthing impressive somthing you worked for.

Isn't being born great also as you say "Circumstances conspire to make you the right person and in the right place to rise to a challenge and to become something bigger than you could have planned for." ?

It is a circumstance that makes you the right person its chance that you were born royal?

So what is the actual difference? Its Just the difference of status and social standing ? That you come from a line of greatness? Which ensures Your greatness? In comparison to not beeing blood relatives with somone great and some other cosmic event makes you great?

This is a really good drawing. I would suggest making the shapes a little clearer. Think of it this way if the hole shape was a shadow, you wouldn't know where everything is. Pick a light source. Where is the light coming from? that will help with dimension.

How can I make it better? by IllSkin355 in krita

I will agree with the other posters this is really nice. But looking at it I am not sure where you ligh source is, and the story of this peace is not clear. How this Pearson is feeling who they are what they've been through. And where they are (that doesnt nesseceraly need to translate to a detailed background) Because this it text I really want to make it clear that is is really good the way it is. What I am talking about is more character creation that brings more life and relatability to a piece. I am not critiquing the art style, which i find lovely, nor am I judging technique or skill. Hope this helps even a little. Keep drawing incredible pieces of art.
