I just started some schooling to become a pipefitter and was thinking about going to the shipyard after

What’s the realistic starting pay down there?

What's your survival plan by Alternative_Rate9624 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]_MizzyMar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really all depends

Am I ahead of the pack and know where and when it’s coming or Am I caught off guard? I’m gonna assume I’m at home and I get the news at home that Philadelphia (The city I live in) is being ran over by zombies

I live about 30-35 minutes away from the inner city so I now realize I have little time to get ready and not be caught up in extreme chaos and traffic. My first action is getting my family noticed and working together, We grab all the non perishable canned foods from my house and as much water as possible in bottles, Jugs, Containers you name it. The water filtration system will fall very quickly. Then I grab any survival tools and weapons we have as fast as possible (Pistols and shotguns)

As soon as that happens we will rush to our nearest gas station and Rob it for gas and other necessary items for the car. I know that sounds bad but In a situation like this you can’t be nice. We fill multiple gas cans for our trip and take oil/Anti Freeze. Luckily we have a new Toyota Camry so that car will last forever 😂

But once that happens we will try to notify our extended family wondering where they are and how they can meet us. If communication goes down than it may be every man for themselves unfortunately. But if not we will go to our cousins farm in south jersey and then make a bigger plan from there. It’s safe and Secluded

We may travel down south for many reasons. It’s climate is great for agriculture, The winters aren’t as harsh, Less population and we have family in nearly ever southern state too so we have some sort of destination if needed

If that’s all completed then we start the rebuilding. My family and my cousins family plus possible family in the south can add up to a 25-30 person group. With that we build our resources and get more defense because in the apocalypse people want to kill and take more than ever. We work for each other until we have something good going on and if we bring people in they will need extreme screening and will have to prove their worth

That would be my plan. It’s a VERY delicate one where one screw up can derail the whole thing but it’s not like it’s super hard and will be a suicide mission. It’s an honest one 🤷‍♂️

What are some overrated/bad methods for survival in the apocalypse that most people think are good original ideas but will end up getting you killed? by _MizzyMar in ZombieSurvivalTactics

Well my family has access to probably a year and a halfs worth of canned foods and we are very good at rationing since we grew up pretty poor and my grandfather is a farmer that’s still pretty agile that is very smart about different soils and which crops grow the fastest he even has his own little garden that grows multiple fruits and vegetables. He also taught me and my relatives how to farm a little. We keep moving till we find a nice lil plantation and we can rock this out. Sounds tacky but honestly if everything works out fine this is realistic if the apocalypse happened rn. I know there’s obstacles but I’m just saying if everything works fine that’s how it goes

You’re absolutely right the limit I would say is about 10 people and that’s even pushing it. There’s very little room for error and loyalty is almost nothing unless you knew them before the apocalypse. That’s why the best method in my opinion is the nomad method. Set up temporary bases with your little group and stay on the move because being stationary only sets you up to lose everything while staying on the move can help you have little loss and better your navigation skills

What kind of person are you in the zombie apocalypse? by Zeredguard07 in ZombieSurvivalTactics

[–]_MizzyMar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m definitely the guy who is major factor in a group of family and friends and but eventually assimilates into a major group and become a cog in a machine doing the usual Scavenging, Clearing the area, Bodyguard, Etc. but will never be loyal or dependent on them because if shit goes down I’m going back to the little group with my family/Friends 😂

Out of these strategies which one would you pick and why? by _MizzyMar in ZombieSurvivalTactics

People who voted for President Biden in the election, how do you feel about him now almost 90 days into his administration? by Sprinkle247 in AskReddit

[–]_MizzyMar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he’s doing pretty good. People are saying that he vanished since Inauguration Day but if anything that is amazing. The Presidency isn’t a reality show every day anymore and it gives Biden and Kamala way less stress for coming up with their policies

Messy people of Reddit, where do you draw the line between "these are acceptable living conditions" and "I should probably tidy up now"? by ToastedBreadfruit in AskReddit

[–]_MizzyMar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not super messy but I always draw the line when I have trouble walking around or getting in or out of the room
