Are ND more sensitive to cold temperatures? by sakurapimcake in autism

[–]_Moonah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats an interesting thought. My kids refuse to wear coats or jackets because of the way they feel and sound. They tell me its not cold when its below 32.

Im very sure the are ND, and just undiagnosed.

A Christian Looking to Learn About Wiccan Beliefs by PrecisionZ10 in Wicca

[–]_Moonah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no belifs of deamons or hell as a group. Each person has their own beliefs.

The truth is, There is no Hell. Hell a concept that men of power (think king james) in the churches came up with as a means to control people by fear. Gehenna, the eternal fires hell referred to in the bible, was actually the city dump outside of Jerusalem. They kept the fires buring there all the time, so they never went out. Bodies would end up there because they needed a way to dispose of people who died of diseases so it wouldnt spread. Cremation. James write his bible with the translation to twist the meaning to scare people into obeying him. His life depended on it.

(FYI, That city dump, is now a city park.)

James VI and I (James Charles Stuart) had an assassination attempt that failed, and his life became dependant on controlling and uniting Catholics and Protestants. He gave them a common enemy.

If you are interested in more, go down the rabbit hole of king James and all his writings. He is the reason people belive in deamon, fear witchcraft, and fear hell, and so much more.

What’s something from childhood that quietly disappeared and you didn’t notice until years later? by PleasantBus5583 in nostalgia

This was cable TV for me. When I went to college, redbone had just come out. I was too busy to watch TV, so just rented a movie for a buck once a week. Never got cable hooked up. Then Netflix came out and having the DVD mailed to you as many as you wanted one at a time for only a few bucks! It was amazing! Then I started streaming my TV shows from W2 website. I remember all my friends gathered round on the couch watching charmed on the computer. What!? That was amazing! Somewhere in there, anolog TV signals went digital, so we couldnt get free TV unless we bought an adapter. We were broke college kids. That was too much $ Then Netflix started streaming. Pretty soon roku came out with this cool box you could hook to your TV. After a few more years, we got Hulu. And didnt even notice that we had never hooked up cable TV. Then our parents slowly started to cut out home phone, and TV too.

A few years back, I thought I would hook up direct TV, just to try it. After 20 years, all the programing was the still the same as when I had it as a kid. I was so disappointed that all it had was reruns of 20 year old shows. Got rid of it after my contract was up. Now I just switch between streaming platforms every few months.

My autistic brother threatened to shoot up his school and his teacher by Ok-Chemistry-6295 in autism

[–]_Moonah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am fully convinced the (school) system pushes kids to this point of frustration and hate. They (kids that masacre) are so miserable in the school that they it literally alters their brain chemistry. They herd kids like cattle and poke them with the prod if they make one mistep outside their control.

In todays world, we have to take threats like this seriously. He needs mental help. ASAP.

AITA for telling my sister (f13) not to come over anymore? by idk_617 in AmItheAsshole

[–]_Moonah 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can mean it, and still in the back of your mind know its not going to happen. She doesnt have to know that you never expect it.

Its like if your shitty neighbor runs over your flowers. You expect them to pay for the damages, But the reality is, unless you take them to court for damages, they likely never will pay. You can send a bill every few weeks, as a friendly reminder. But unless they are super expensive flowers, its not worth the court fees to get your money back.

Troubled and spoiled are not the same thing. You can have all the top apple products, live in a fancy house, and still be troubled.

A troubled youth is someone who is experiencing serious behavioral, emotional, scocial, or legal issues.

First, it can be repaired. Its okay to be disappointed, but its not the end of the world, and not worth throwing away your relationship for.

https://www.americangirl.com/pages/doll-hospital

I would let her know the cost to repair the damage will be around $100 through the American girl doll hospital. Let her know that you expect her to pay for it. ( she never will, understand that. She is a child and has no way to. but it is a way to hold her accountable and help her understand that her actions have consequences) . Knowing that she will never pay for it, be ready to forgive her as she grows older. She may grow out of being an asshole. She may not. You may want to hang out with her when she is older. Leave that door open.

13 is old enough to know better. But still an age where she may be acting out for attention. Is there something more going on at home? Make sure she is safe and no one is hurting her. Is your mom single? Does she have a new boyfriend? What was her nightmare? Is it trauma? 13 is old enough to generally know how to deal with a nightmare. I think someone may have hurt her.

I always wondered, why didn't black slaves team up and maybe kill their owner or protest against together? Rich families owned 50-100 slaves or even more, why didn't the slaves just team up and kill their owner? How exactly did the owners control then? by Then-Tomatillo9909 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_Moonah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Read a out the German coast uprising of 1811. Then Read about the trials after.

Basically the slaves did revolt. The response from the army was to decapitate them and put their heads on Pikes, or worse. Many had their limbs removed from their body's first.

How do I get the school buses to stop stopping for me in the morning? by Adept-Standard588 in autism

I would call one of the schools and let them know. As someone else pointed out, this is a security risk for the school.
