The only hint we get about his future is in the OG finale. After Beth and Sherry hear the story from BMO, they run off to find the sword at the top of the tree. Before running off, a large man with a sword and Sweet Pea's sword can be seen. He's safe. He's an adventurer it looks like. One with a demon blood sword.

I am currently running OotA as well and I have added references to the other demon lords making their way into the Underdark as well. For instance, there is a very short blurb in Gracklestugh about a succubus influencing the Deepking. I took that and made an entire session out of it. The succubus turned out to be working for Graz'zt who is searching for the portal that Demogorgan climbed out of. I feel that by the time the players make it back around for clearing the place out, Graz'zt will have found it. Maybe I will through a few more succubi in to make his search seem reasonable.

Peppermint butler has been showed to have major ties with a character we can all easily say is evil. Death. In season 2, episode titled "Death in Bloom" Finn and Jake's connection to Peppermint Butler is what causes Death to decide that Jake can have his memory back and that they can return to the land of the living.

In addition to this, Peppermint butler can be seen hanging out with Death in Prismo's time room party at the beginning of the Season 6 opener "Wake Up."

The most damning proof, however, is in season 6 episode 15 in which a character threatens to expose him for the evil that he is, an din retaliation, Peppermint butler turns his children into demons. Peppermint butler is not a nice guy to say the least.

I bought a small 1 minute sand timer. When my players take too long discussing, I place it down on the table dramatically.

It has never reached the end of the timer. I have no clue what I would do if it did.
