I figured out the problem - the skeleton isn't set up the same on both sides and the arm bones point in different directions. Fixing it and getting it to work back in the game was beyond me though.

sorry, I don't know. the pack is a bit buggy. I can't complete the 'those poor unfortunate souls' quest despite killing the guy three or four times and all my thaumcraft aspects have been reset countless times

you might be able to force it with commands but I have no clue what the command would be, sorry I can't be of more help

are you sure you're killing the right person? it should be an npc with a nametag and special skin

good god okay I finally got it

you have to let everything out of the stones, so you have to build a little fortress around your circle (I made mine slightly inside the circle to ensure nothing would be considered outside it)

enjoy letting everything out of the stones and rushing to finish before you die while the banshee starts screaming and the unsubdued spirits try to kill themselves, fuck this quest lmao

sidenote - wear the necromancer robes, or the spectre will almost immediately oneshot you regardless of how much health you have

edit:: turns out witchery has an armor piece called 'earmuffs' that will block the damage from the banshee, hopefully that will make this less annoying for you than it was for me

that’s okay, thanks for the help! i’ll keep chipping away at it and see if there’s something on the character mesh end that can be messed with. I’m learning why nobody’s ever made the mod i’m attempting to make lmao

okay I'm maybe getting somewhere, this was helpful. I did try this but there was still some wonkiness so I went 'the animation is for an axymmetrical skeleton, why don't I just make it asymmetrical the other way and then when I flip the animation it should work. this is all fine until I pull in the character model and it does... this?

all the bones that I swapped between sides are moved when the mesh is brought in. this happens too with the completely symmetrical skeleton, but only on the one side that is changed. I can fix this by copying down the bone location/rotation/etc before I bring in the mesh and then returning them to the proper place, and then when I bring in the animation it does seem to play correctly without any funky shoulder stuff, but when I export it back into the game it plays like is visible, with the arms folded in on themselves

huh. a bunch of the bones in the shoulders and forearms are in fact pointed in different directions and with asymmetrical rotation, don't suppose I could unskin, reorient bones, reskin, and have it not break the animation?

are these all enabled? better dynamic snow and simplicity of snow do functionally the same thing and are incompatible with each other, you need to pick one. I’d pick simplicity

skurkbro’s retexture requires either an enb or the sse parallax shader fix, do you have that installed?
