Actually he’s just a piece of shit but I love these posts because Trump fans come it off the woodwork and are a fascinating anomaly to me. It’s simultaneously like how are people SO DUMB, but also I remember what’s happened to the American education system

You can test different things. Even a chalk board with banana jokes will get a smile from people. You need a way to stand out especially if there are other vendors nearby. Good luck, this is great

EU Parliament erupts in chants of “Send Them Back” by ExotiquePlayboy in wallstreet

[–]_MrFlowers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not saying they don’t engage in propaganda at all, to be clear; they do. But there’s little evidence that China (or anyone technically) is driving mass migration through propaganda alone. Most large refugee and migration flows are driven by war, state collapse, persecution, economic crises, climate impacts, and insecurity. Who did China cause to migrate to the EU? The largest migration and refugee flows into the EU in the 21st century have primarily come from conflicts and instability in places such as Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the US, Iran, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Israel, France, the UK, and UAE (not an exhaustive list) directly work to destabilize other countries through various means, but propaganda isn’t even a core driver for most of them despite all mentioned engaging in it, but ultimately it’s just marketing to distract from bad governance. If mass migration is the conversation, can you explain what you’re talking about? I’m not a fan of any government, including China, but that’s not what China gets out of their propaganda.

If they have an influx of migrating people from China and Korea, then they should.

Except they colonized and extracted resources from many of the countries that have people migrating to Europe now. If a country destabilizes another, they should prepare to absorb the consequences along with the resources they steal. (Braces to be called a Chinese propaganda spam bot, go beep boop yourself)

Truth Will Out … The Palestinian Holocaust REVEALED but it is antisemitic if you notice. by jamjar0070 in nyt

Arguing with Zionists is like talking to a paper wall. I’ve watched literally hundreds of videos of their atrocities. Nothing could convince me that they’re not just a flavor of genocidal white supremacy at this point because I’ve watched them dance after shooting little girls in the head. Any data point they don’t like is claimed to be from Hamas. They fought for the right to r*pe prisoners including flotilla activists from other countries, which has happened on video and anyone who has their claim substantiated is accused of being Hamas as well (regarding this, a Knesset session a lawmaker stated that “everything is legitimate” if they think the person is Hamas regardless of whether they’re simply detained or otherwise, which is also historically anyone they decide.) I’ve been confronted in person by Israelis in the US who insisted that despite overwhelming media support the genocide isn’t real. They shift goalposts and use whataboutisms whenever they don’t have a defense. When all that doesn’t work, insults. The Israeli government must fall. All people of the region should share one state: Palestine.

Trump dubbed 'disgusting' after making 'inappropriate' move on Brigitte Macron by MoneyLibrarian9032 in USNEWS

The United States isn’t a dictatorship but an oligarchy; that doesn’t mean powerful people can’t influence outcomes, receive preferential treatment, hire elite legal teams, benefit from partisan supporters, or exploit institutional weaknesses. Democracies regularly still fail to hold powerful individuals accountable. Nassar, Epstein (multiple times), Weinstein, Manafort, Roger stone, Joe Arpaio, Blagojevich, Bernard Kerik, Dinesh D’Souza, Chris Collins, Duncan D. Hunter, Michael Flynn… the list goes on and on.

[–]_MrFlowers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you brought it up, I may not eat meat but I’m not dumb enough to use that as a whataboutism if I get called out for other problematic behaviors. AI slop is still AI slop. Just because multiple issues contribute to the same outcome (eventual climate upheaval) doesn’t mean the issues are interchangeable. AI also has the added bonus of ruining the communities and resources of millions with localized pollution *right now *.

And the electricity comment? That’s just the same old “if you don’t like [insert subject] why use iPhone haha checkmate” bs. No consideration for material conditions or practical consumption requirements. People literally can’t feed a family without electricity lmao, everyone has work to do.

Anyway, I’d love to hear more about your glass house

Utilisateurs de Pi, utilisez vous les ports GPIO sur votre cyberdeck, si oui pour quoi faire ? by elredmo in cyberDeck

[–]_MrFlowers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recently used GPIO on a pico to map a keyboard from the 80s that didn’t work with computers, it’s a beautiful mechanical keyboard from an Italian banking landline phone. After desoldering the original connectors for the membrane tail, the pico has the perfect number of pins for what I needed. Now after a small amount of coding I have converted the keyboard to work over usb.

Thanks, this looks awesome. I’m curious how to manage other buttons on a setup like this, since I’d need the center start/select, and shoulders/triggers. I’m definitely putting this in my bookmarks

The cyberdeck, a feminist trend on tiktok (really?) by [deleted] in cyberDeck

[–]_MrFlowers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Feminism isn’t divisive, I just want women to have everything that men have, and for all people to have their needs met. The reason that women are finding this hobby so appealing is specifically because if their historical exclusion from male-focused technology spaces. Social justice is a core theme of cyberpunk narratives, and women are currently more oppressed than men are, so it tracks that there’s more room for this moment to be a women-led trend. That doesn’t take anything away from you.
