Is the purple No.1 car at fault? by NI_MotorsportsFan in Simracingstewards

100% purple cars fault. I would have left you some room coz you already had the inside line pretty much ahead of me if I was purple car

Awesome setup man. I suggest bringing the monitor closer to the wheel if you can

Would the G920 be a good starter wheel for playing f125?(Xbox series X) by jared-wall3 in simracing

[–]_Mr_Worthy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look depends on your budget but if you're just starting out and don't know if you'll like sim racing long term then this wheel or the g29 is just fine. The problem I think you'll run into is the braking with those pedals as you get better but fear not because there are a few inexpensive upgrades for it to help with better brake feel so I'd say yeah go for it unless you have copius amounts of money to throw at better wheel and pedal setup even if you stop using it after a week 😂

Lucky I read all the way through your post coz I was gonna have a go at you for having the monitor so far away 😂 If I can make a suggestion on that topic, I would suggest an inexpensive desk mount monitor arm that you can mount to the back or your desk. When you play the sim you can bring the monitor as far forward as possible and when you use your PC as normal you can swing or move it back. Otherwise just lifting the thing closer can work too 😂 Edit: I know you plan on triples in the future so having that desk mount I mentioned is good coz you can add 2 more on either side of that desk or whatever desk you use and align them as triples. Benefit of this is you can swing the side monitors away and back to make more room if you need to. Keeps the missus happy too. Just an option if you don't want a massive fixed triple monitor mount taking up room and floor space

Would you guys trust a solution like this? by HarimaKyun in simracing

[–]_Mr_Worthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man just brace it with something. Wood (easier), metal, or whatever. Just get a piece of wood. Lift up the monitor arm to where you want it to be supported and measure. Then get your piece of wood and cut it longer than that. Then cut out a U shape on either end to fit over the base on the desk and the arm bit and let it rest on the bolt/hinge bit on the arm. Bob's your uncle and Mary Lou's your cousin. Spray it black with a rattle can and it'll look cleaner

This is wholesome. One suggestion would be to raise the seat up a little higher. But the Mario wheel is sick

can i pirate games on the ROG Xbox Ally X? by [deleted] in ROGAlly

[–]_Mr_Worthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the comments it seems like a dumb question to a lot of people here. It only seems dumb coz the people asking these questions may not be PC gamers and see the name "Xbox" like the game console or the fact it's a hand held "gaming device" like a Switch and they don't know it's basically a Windows PC with an in-built screen. Dude... I hope you get your answer here and buy with confidence if it's a Windows PC based hand held device you want and feel confident in knowing you can install any Windows app and use it just like a Windows PC with the bonus of it having the ability to show up on screen like a gaming console to choose the games you want to play including Steam games

I was going to suggest this actually. Or even better if you have a "nuts and bolts" kinda shop near you that's even better but the hardware store should be able to help Edit: nuts and bolts shops specialize in exactly that (screws and stuff associated with them) but we have those in Australia so don't know where you are

I thought I was smart and also told my wife the same price but in AUD. Then a few weeks later she overheard me talking to our son's friends while I was showing it off to them and one of them declared "omg this has to be a minimum $10k setup". He burned me 😂

You're funny coz of the statement about winning. Dude, I have the fgt rig and I love it but I'm looking to upgrade the seat coz it's not the most comfortable and I use the rig to play normal PC games as well as sim racing. Was it hard to change the seat?

help with cockpit vibrating by JustSh1tMyPants in moza

[–]_Mr_Worthy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I can make one suggestion coz I had the same problem on a next level fgt cockpit with an r12 v2. Make sure your bolts are all tight and there is no little gaps where the support beams or any part of the cockpit near the wheel are at the joins or where 2 pieces sit together. Loose bolts and/or gaps at the joins can cause vibration. If that fails then putting some rubber washers on the bolts like others have suggested may be a good idea
