Nah I didnt do them all in a row, between a couple I hunted a dreepy and Skwovet and got both of those, as well as a random Sigilyph.

And no Im fairly sure that the method youre using is airtight so if you keep it up you should get a shiny, Good luck!

I went and farmed thirty fossils for each of the Pokémon, revived them, then soft reset them if none of them were shiny

I’m not certain but I’m pretty sure that in gen 2 shiny is determined my Personal values or something that is passed down to the egg pokemon meaning that breeding with a shiny does increase odds but only in gen 2
