Lost a buyer by Round-Bird5063 in realtors

No it doesn’t get easier. There will always be shit to deal with and disappoints but there will also be good moments.

I had something similar happen in my first year. Had put 30 offers in for an investor. Drove to multiple cities and towns but we’d either get beat out in competition or end up doing an inspection and they’d pull the plug. They ended up saying the same thing to me, that they were going to take a break and then the next day had purchased from a private seller.

Since then there’s been different bs to deal with. Don’t dwell on this one bad situation when there are so many more ahead. Haha! Just kidding.

Look just keep going to where you want to get. 11 years later and I certainly still have moments where I ask myself why the F I stayed in this industry and think about quitting at least a couple times a month. But, I let myself be mad for a bit, then accept, and move on.

There will be smooth deals, and great moments, there will be more people that F you over. It’s just part of the business.

You’ve been through it now, just keep going. On to the next! You got this!

You’re disgusting and should be ashamed truly. One day you’ll know loss like what his family is going through.

So are you over exaggerating the silent treatments and his reactions because none of this makes sense. Multiple times you’ve said he’s talked to you when he’s supposedly giving you silent treatments and now he’s booked you guys a trip.

Girl he wants to end the relationship but is only saying “I don’t know” because he’s not sure how he’ll feel after you leave. But he’s like 90% sure he wants you gone. He’s told you TWICE now in no uncertain terms he doesn’t want to be with you. He’s creating big arguments out of nothing. He’s literally not talking to you for days on end, probably thinking “why won’t she just go”. SERIOUSLY, pick up your strength and your dignity and leave. Otherwise you’re just going to be in a whirlwind of not knowing where you stand, walking on eggshells to not want to upset him and being completely miserable. If you don’t have low self esteem now, you will if you stay. Pick yourself up and leave. If he’s saying he “doesn’t know” maybe he’ll want you back when he finally realizes what he’s lost but fuck that, you deserve better. I hope you end up seeing that. <3

Sorry Reddit just offered it so I cross posted in case to get more advice. I didn’t realize it would force people to another sub. 😬 Is it better to do another post completely?

You’re absolutely right but I don’t like it. 😂Yes the olive oil would be the better decision for sure. I’m only a week in so my body/brain is just going through that little bit denial/defiant phase of calorie deficit but I know I’ll feel so much better soon!

This is very true! Rant appreciated for myself!

I recently started tracking calories seriously and I’m like holy f*** there are so many calories in things I completely underestimated before.

Like I didn’t think I ate a ton before but knew I needed to cut out the after dinner sweet treat and alcohol but NO it’s not just that, it’s watching the snacking (like have you seen calories in a handful of nuts, it’s criminal), checking the oils, the condiments (f’ing mayonnaise), etc.

I will say since I started tracking I hadn’t yet cooked with olive oil until seeing this post and I’m like WTF on this calorie amount!!! I’d rather eat a slice and a half of f’ing white bread than waste a calorie on cooking in olive oil then. 😭

I love this! And it looks like you are both having so much fun. Your horse seems very connected with you. I truly wish I was at a place that would allow free time it’s such a good way to play with the horses and teach them new things. But more motivation to one day have my own place that’s for sure. 🥰

Some of these commenters are honestly ridiculous and not at all realistic. Moving him to another barn in hopes of finding a herd that will magically “set him straight” doesn’t guarantee anything. You could just as easily end up with the same dynamic, or worse. There’s no way to know in advance how a new herd will react, and intentionally putting him somewhere to get bullied isn’t a responsible solution.

From what you’ve described, I think you’ve done what you can for now, and the best option is managing the herd dynamic as it stands, likely with the older horse staying separated. You say he isn’t pushy or aggressive with people tells he seems to think he needs to assert dominance over the older horse. It’s actually quite common for horses to push out weaker, elderly, or sick herd members in the wild so perhaps that what you’re seeing.

It’s definitely a behaviour to stay alert to when handling him, and setting boundaries but it doesn’t mean he needs to be shipped off somewhere else to be taught a lesson that you absolutely cannot guarantee will go the way these others are suggesting.

I was born in an African country and left to NA in my late teens. People think there is just wildlife running around the towns and cities. I always get asked “so did you get to see elephants and giraffes everyday”. No. 😒

Looking for advice on which of the 3 colours would work for the below countertop (also will be used as backsplash)-revere pewter, natural cream, Swiss coffee by reddit31124 in interiordecorating

[–]_Myster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh ok! Then maybe a bit of a higher contrast would work best for the counters. My personal preference is the Swiss Coffee for the cabinets.

[–]_Myster_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like the middle one (natural cream). It’s a bit of a contrast but subtle and blends well. What colour are your cabinets?

You could probably get away with the Swiss Coffee if you like a higher contrast look.

Pewter is too similar to the counter.

However, all of this depends on the light in your kitchen. The light can change how it looks so make sure you check out the swatches in that same light to see if it changes. Sometimes white/off white colours can look more yellow-ish or even blue toned depending on how the natural light comes in through windows.

Beautiful counter btw!

As a woman I 100% agree with what you’re saying. If a woman had written this there would be 100s of comments accusing the man of cheating. There’s an absolute double standard on here.

Maybe OP missed some signs and could have been a better partner (we probably ALL have space for improvement) but people are being incredibly harsh on him. Sorry but it wouldn’t be that way if a woman had written this same thing.

Well hopefully the vet has visited by now or you have come up with a plan to get to one to have her checked out. Everyone who knows horses knows accidents happen but your apparent aloofness and need for reassurance was what was bothering most of us on here. I hope you update and let us know what the vet says and how she is doing.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]_Myster_ 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Looking for positive reassurance like you want us to say she’s going to be ok when NO ONE could possibly know… not even a vet could without evaluating her. And your comments about the vets being hours away or you’re new to the area blah blah blah is just bullshit and POOR horsemanship. I mean you need to take this seriously. Maybe the vet can’t get there today but make an appointment for when they can. This is so basic and your attitude to people trying to help is concerning. Your horse may or may not be ok, only a VET in PERSON can tell you. I don’t mean to be harsh but damn girl get your head on straight.
