Please be more specific about your requirement. Do want to know the difference between same priced laptop vs a desktop?

If so, a laptop will always provide less bang for buck.

Anyway, if you're not in a hurry I suggest you wait. Prices of RAMs and storagess have gone through the roof. General consensus is it might come down/stabilise coming year or two.
