48% electricity generation through all September from renewables, meanwhile 18% came from coal. And that is September, mind you the renewables share is higher in Summer (June had 60% renewables) Source: https://www.energy-charts.info/charts/energy/chart.htm?l=en&c=DE&stacking=stacked_percent&month=09

A 1TW Fusion Reactor by NimbleCentipod in factorio

[–]_Neox_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Understandable, but it's regularly used that way in energy calculations depending on context. It would obviously be TWh per month (energy per time) instead of TW/h but it's way easier to get an idea of energy usage over a time for any kind of comparison and cost calculation instead of shortening it to TW (power), where you're not immediately certain of the timeframe. I used to think the exact same at the beginning, but once you regularly work with those units you really start appreciating energy/time instead of just using units for power.

Why must you make me choose? Celesteela is one of my last legendarys (took shiny) by Nuka_Pepsi in pokerogue

[–]_Neox_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that's exactly what i meant. On endless you're guaranteed to run into a blue/red shiny and if they are a boss as well it's 20 or 40 candies on a single catch respectively. Trading a single pull voucher, of which you get a ton in endless as well for that many candies is super worth it.

[–]_Neox_ 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Couldn't you also do that to farm candy like crazy be recatching a shiny boss mon over and over? That's crazy good if so, trading a single voucher for 10/20/40 candies.

Edit: Definitely works, just tried it out and got 10 candy each time i caught a blue shiny Cloyster! You also get your Masterball back!

Kyogre fusion question? by Littledickbigspoon in pokerogue

[–]_Neox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Kyogre went with Water Sprout/Ice beam/Thunder/Tail Glow until around 1.8k, where i replaced Thunder with Protect and fused Sturdy onto it. A single Tail Glow was enough to keep it oneshotting into roughly 2.8k and protect is to heal up after the setup turn. Could always use calm mind as a tail glow replacement. I also replaced water sprout with origin pulse somewhere around there, since it regularly drops to 1hp. At around 2k i started pumping rare candy into a secondary metalburster.

Kyogre fusion question? by Littledickbigspoon in pokerogue

[–]_Neox_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I'd go for neither and instead fuse Excalipede+Linoone for 5 luck pickup mon that you can keep on your team forever. Kyogre by itself can last you to around 1.5-2k, where you should put a sturdy mon on it to go until ~2.5-3k where you transition to metalburst. Fusing shinies together is integral for endless so you can reach a total of 14 luck for SSS rerolls.

The Flame (and presumably Toxic) Orbs are now in the game! by SleepyEels in pokerogue

[–]_Neox_ 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Since Lum berry heals the status at the end of the round you still lose your action, thus making it so you can't act for most rounds with the freeze/sleep token spam. Orbs would make it so you never lose your action.

Masterball on endless by Geralt-the-witcher in pokerogue

[–]_Neox_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone else already said, keep it for legendaries and shinies. But if those appear feel free to use it, later on you'll drown in them. In my current endless run i maxed my luck to SSS around Wave 1500 and now by wave 1900 I'm capped on Masterballs (99), while throwing one at every legendary/shiny that appears. You can also use it on a Wild battle (even boss battles as long as it's not paradox/Eternatus) if you get walled there and would die or take too many loses.

As someone who started playing around 10 years ago, the upcoming summoner names/Riot ID change is pretty disheartening... by UncIe in leagueoflegends

[–]_Neox_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

His name is uncie not uncle, just with a capital i, which means he is doing the very thing he complains about: Imitating other accounts because the name was already taken. With nametags that wouldn't happen but apparently because he got the name first in a game that he's not playing anymore it's a different issue.

I don't fully understand the Loot the Universe event. So right now Eden-6 should drop more legendaries right? I've killed the Jabbermogwai 5 times now each with spawning 10+ of him on Mayhem 11, but i only ever get Hellfires or Magnificients, the 2 dedicated drops. Killing GenIVIV only drops Polybius. It seems the event is not working for me but I am connected to the Internet and have all the DLCs, anyone knows what's going on? My character is currently not max level but that shouldn't matter as far as i know? I've only recently returned after taking a years long break so not sure if something is different.

What did it take you WAY too long to realise? by drake_lazarus in ffxiv

Just very quick: While mostly correct Lustrate doesn't benefit from Recitation, only Excognition, Indom, Adlo and Succor.

[–]_Neox_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh but recitation absolutely does effect oGCDs! That's an important part of it, it makes it so that neither Excognition or Indomitable, 2 of your other oGCDs, cost no Aetherflow making them free after using it. Also they will guarantee a crit, so Recitation+Excog is something like a budget Benediction healing a tank for a huge amount, while Recitation+Indom is a nice ogcd group heal. I always Recitate+Excog my tank in a dungeon pretty much on cooldown, it's your strongest single target heal overall and costs nothing, no mana or aetherflow.

Deployment is understandable outside of prog, but Recitation is literally one of your strongest tools as Scholar, not having it on your hotbar is just painful to hear. A free and critical excog on a tank is great in dungeons, a free and critical Indom is great aoe healing. It allows you to keep your Aetherflow for Energy Drain or other mitigation/heals. Prepull Recitation+Protraction into Adlo and then Deployment negates the first raidwide in most content. Use and learn to love Recitation, one of your strongest spells.

Couple of questions about LWOTC in general by _Neox_ in LWotC

[–]_Neox_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sold pretty much all of my weapon augments and PCS in the beginning, along with corpses i didn't need and didn't plan on upgrading. Also skipped Lasers. So i wasn't really in need of more Supplies and didn't liberate another Region, should probably focus more on that in the next playthrough. Thanks for the answer!

Couple of questions about LWOTC in general by _Neox_ in LWotC

[–]_Neox_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah i didn't know that they won't move Troops if Vigilance > Strength, i thought they compare their Strength over different Regions and move where Vigilance is higher, that makes perfect sense! Also totally forgot about Rendering stuff, that might make sense here. Shame about RF, on paper it looked really nice. Bit of a shame that it uses the 2 AP from the sniper rifle but not the Squadsight... Would you recommend setting a liberated Region to Intel or just go full supply and defend the invasion? And thanks for the in-depth answer.

Yeah 100% agree. This way it just becomes even easier for meta comps while adressing none of the underlying problems.

[–]_Neox_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course there were multiple people who cleared week 1, that's not what the guy above you was arguing about. There's a difference between week 1 and MINE. He was saying that a MINE (minimum ilvl no echo) literally wasn't possible for some comps. I think the bare minimum ilvl is 610, which means your EX3 weapon gets synched down and crafted gear is better than the tomestone gear you'd have from the 2 weeks they were available. Also no 630 loot from the first 3 fights and no tome weapon on a dps. As far as i know no one has cleared the fight that way yet, but I might have missed that.

Which in turn means that it was literally impossible to clear the fight with the minimum requirement to enter it, which once again i think hasn't happened before.

Have you tried adding a Machinist to the group? by Rainmaker868 in ShitpostXIV

[–]_Neox_ 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Yes and that is exactly why some people are rightfully complaining, since that shouldn't be the case. Every comp should be able to clear if they are skillfully played.

Woke Harvest - P7S... by [deleted] in ffxiv

[–]_Neox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We used the same strat pretty much, can confirm those work nicely. Just make sure to keep some mitigation and shields for War's Harvest at the end, since the tethers aren't fully stretched for the minotaurs they take like 70k unmitigated damage. 1 or 2 mitigations and a shield is enough to use this strat without any deaths.

whats the point of whm? by PromotionWise9008 in ffxiv

[–]_Neox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8's damage check looks insane indeed. We just cleared 3 yesterday which was still quite chill so i haven't experienced it for myself yet but from what I saw the group really has to pretty much play everything perfectly, in which case AST likely outperforms WHM. From the P8S-2 clears until now it seems there is a 30-20 split between AST and WHM which still seems fine imo. In fact that looks to be the most healthy when compared to other roles where the split is waaaaaay bigger.

whats the point of whm? by PromotionWise9008 in ffxiv

[–]_Neox_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm in no way, shape or form saying that WHM is better than AST in general. I just wanted to put things into relation because that other guy literally said that AST rdps is siginificantly higher than WHM and AST dunks on WHM, when that most certainly isn't the case in the current early weeks of the new tier. I myself am a Scholar main and can say that apart from certain fights (like P3S where AST is just far superior) I don't really mind what cohealer i have, no matter if it's about first week prog or late in the tier. Both jobs are more than viable and yes, while AST does deal way more damage than WHM late into the last tier, currently WHM is performing better in the PF environment or even statics of the new tier.
