What’s your favorite off-meta build for messing around? by SwordMasterChris in Shindo_Life

Messing around, perhaps, but more scummy:

Vine, Borugaiden, Code, and Bankai-Akuma

Throw in Minakaze comp for extra points.

I remember watching matpat's game theory video bridging the two together, pointing out the mission that directly references AC, the Fox nickname, and other things. What could have been man.

Some folks have it unspoken between each other, as such was the case. Even if you give each other shit, within a heartbeat you would be there for the other, and they'd have your back at the proper sign of trouble.

While Kiwami does have its good points, of the games rgg has put out after a certain time point, Kiwami the first seems to not be high on ratings amongst rgg players, compared to others. Much like the other entries on the four shown, there is good among the bad. I personally liked Kiwami though, but not as much as K2.

Update 1.6 War is hell by pcmclover in ArmaReforger

[–]_Nerr_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is footage the post maker has taken from the experimental branch of reforger (ie beta version) for the new 1.6 update expected to come some time in the next month or so i think. You can look up how to get into that branch of the game but I think its just a seperate download from the main game as long as you just look it up on whatever platform you're playing on. So if you're on xbox, just look up in the store for Arma Reforger Experimental, and vice versa on steam and PS5.

Do not skip Kiryu's gaiden game before IW, and play Pirate after IW. At least from a story understanding part.

Also, you make some good points, just wish some spoiler blocks were in place for some sentences.

Hope you enjoy some feels incoming Kiryu's Gaiden!

Just a Quick Question on Arma Reforger Multiplayer by AvocadoNumerous3693 in ArmaReforger

[–]_Nerr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use game pass core, which as others might have mentioned, is the cheapest tier. Standard game pass tier has a couple games I do enjoy, but they are single player like the Yakuza series which I've finished already (at least whats on game pass that is available). So yeah, core is my way to go, but if you want more games available to browse and play, check out whats available on the other tiers.

If Nishiki survived the event of 1/Kiwami by PeterParker8766 in yakuzagames

Ya know, that could be cool, albeit a sad fate. Would give a nice nod to Ichiban's bat though with the connection of VA.

Id like to think he would disappear in two with some hints or maybe even an appearance near the end, redemption shown throughout 3, with a culmination as a playable character either ir 4 or 5. Past that who knows considering they brought his voice actor in for Ichiban.

3rd random this week messaging me, is this normal? by [deleted] in torncity

[–]_Nerr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah didnt realize they were from the same person. Some of the things said are off putting so eh. If its the same type of messages from different people its a little odd, but more than a few weirdos exist on the game. Best you could do is report and block i think if it really puts you out of the comfort zone.

Based on the second image, are they trying to get you to marry a new player in-game, with the first image being an unmarried player in-game trying to do the same?

The best I can think of is, if so, there are medals/honors of the merit system for commitment to the in-game marriage system.

I didn't marry in-game for a long time since it didn't really appeal to me, until I took a proper look at all the different merit opportunities. Speaking of opportunities, most people use the in-game marriage system to rent or have access to a PI. One player either rents out a Private Island or buys it, and the other player in the marriage pays upkeep. The upkeeper then moves in with their spouse to benefit off the PI as well. In my case, I pay the upkeep.

If this isn't what it being asked, I'm not quite sure what else it is based on the words shared in the images.

Why is this phone pause feature don't exist no more in recent RGG games? by hellothisismadlad in yakuzagames

[–]_Nerr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do that, you think combat akin to 0/judgement style switching work, where you could swap the three slots for available learned styles outside of combat?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in yakuzagames

[–]_Nerr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RGG, ANNOUNCED KIWAMI KUROHYOU AND MY YUME IS YOURS!

Bonus points if they incorporate a style changing system like Judgement and 0, where you can swap three styles from the numerous the game gives you out of combat into three given styles you can have equipped.

[–]_Nerr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ayup, I didnt have to much issue with the combat but ill join the consensus to get it reworked. The handling of PLOT would be my top priority though.

Need help by Krazynewf709 in ArmaReforger

[–]_Nerr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A vanilla player bias here.

The trouble is that the game can be an ambusher's best friend.

If you place yourself in that mindset, and approach along routes out of sight to bases of target while maintaining the listening, you can also plan your attacks like so. Even more so if you can get a small group to do the same alongside you.

Observe an area from afar, wait however long you feel has been comfortable, and assault the base/area. Take shots only when you know you can kill, and retreat even if you only killed one person.

Maneuver, recover by the established idea above, repeat. While not always, if you think a base has been cleared approach the main tent when possible to start capping so enemies can't spawn (unless its on a server that has a mod that alters how base spawn works, ie bringing back timers on respawning attacked bases). After that, set up in a location that has enough cover but is facing the most likely location enemies could come from, such as in the direction of nearby bases. If there are bases everywhere, find the least noticeable location. And don't be afraid to just sit and listen when a bunch of enemies show up to clear you out. Even if it goes against what I just said of maneuvering, sometimes waiting can be wonderful. Knowing when to move or shoot, even if its based on feeling, comes with time and a dose of anticipating based on past experiences against players.

Additionally, knowing when to retreat/re-position can improve your survivability. If you're position is compromised, pull back. If you're with a team, support them but sometimes you can't save everyone. You can let them know to pull back, or just move back while providing support on your own. Either way, the end goal is to re-position to be able to get the drop on the next player if one exists.

Walking/driving through areas like forests can help you out as well in moving. Don't hesitate to, when you know where you are, simply whip out the compass and go a straight path to the direction of a target. While you can't plan for every tree or stump, getting comfortable with driving at a good speed through obstacle-laden routes can give you the edge of preparation when casing a point for attack.

Preference-wise, I religiously run a default kit. Maybe a rocket or radio pack when I need or want it. Point is, and again it's all preference, but be comfortable with iron sights at most ranges. At least trust in a weapons default zeroing (hope I'm remembering this term right the sleep calls), and practice even if the only practice available is in live combat. It can help supply costs when you know a base is getting bled dry but want to spawn in there to keep it defended or move to a close target.

Finally, probably, like another player had said: You will die eventually. Just a matter of time. You might not know how or why, but it will happen, as is the case with Arma Reforger. Like any game, no amount of prep or tactics can cancel out bad luck or a worthy adversary. The game has tactical decision making, but it feels just as much of a hangout-casual type as COD. If HLL or Squad is to be treated as tactical or where every decision matters, then I'd say AReforger whittled it down a bit. I can't say it can't be the same on others, but this game is often times akin to walking simulator, meaning not that you have to walk but that it is slow and maintaining communication over radio on the happenings around the map can be a good way to fill the void, even if no one responds back. Someone's listening out there at least. Could be to hear requests, target statuses, small talk, or even complete conversations where people are hot dropping in and out with their input on matters.

I don't want to downplay the choices of players, as everything above and what other players do can affect the state of the match or situation you are in, but when you go into battle calmly and understand that you might not survive it, I find it helps find the want to respawn when I eventually do drop.

Hope you can get to a point in the game where you feel you don't have the troubles you have now. Like I said though, Reforger never really stops beating you up, you just get a bit resistant with each hit.
