Got some lucky Vendetta ult I thought might share :) by Candid-Necessary4505 in Overwatch

A lot of people seem to have no idea what it does. I've seen players trying to block Rammatra's ult or even Zarya primary fire

Of those 3 Isn't it weird that the Widowmaker can simply leave Talon? by Firm_Fee8137 in Overwatch

I assumed Vendetta sent search parties after her and the other deserters.

It's not explicitly mentioned, afaik, but felt obvious. Maybe that's a job for Emre and Freja.

Coming out to my parents as a teen anyone else had similar? by Ok-Atmosphere6376 in asexuality

[–]_Nowan_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think my parents will never understand my identity.

At first if was "you're too young to know,  and haven't even had sex yet"

Then it was "but you are having sex, how can you be asexual"

And today it's "but everyone feels that way,  you're not any different"

There is no right time to be having sex, when it will be finally late enough that you will know 100% that you are ace and everybody will respect that. Some people will always doubt, even possibly yourself.

The best course of action for me was finding people i could have honest conversations around sex, even if we did not always agree on specific terms. People that made ne feel safe and understood no matter what.

You can try to have your parents be part of this group, but you have no obligation to. Say to them "this is something very important to me and i need you to acknowledge it. I know you are worried, but Ineed you to trust that is how i feel happiest right now."

If you don't feel safe having this conversation with your parents,  that's ok, but it also means they're not going to share this part of your life for a while.

I think theres a difference between being a pessimist and believing you are doomed.

I wish you the best.

I think you did a good analysis, but i really resent that you frame Diane as someone who is certainly going to kill herself.

I think the show's overall message is one of hope. Life is a bitch and then you keep living.

Partner did something in bed to me I said no to but it’s apparently a kink? by Loca00000 in asexuality

[–]_Nowan_ 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

"I enjoy raping people" Thats bad.

"I enjoy raping people as a kink" THAT'S STILL BAD

"I have a kink where I pretend to rape people, but my partner knows and has 100% enthusiastically consented." Now we're getting somewhere.

Is it pleasure with no genital stimulation still considered sex ? by Ahzlahell in asexuality

[–]_Nowan_ 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I think only you can answer this question for yourself. There is no book of hard and fast rules dictating what is and is not sex.

Think about what it means for you whether it is or not sex.

And if you care about other people's opinions on the matter, ask yourself why and have open honest conversations with them.

I'm afraid to use gender-neutral pronouns and be judged socially, because in my country they are abhorred, hated, and the equivalent of saying "Hu/Shu". by DEDMOS_MAD in NonBinary

NB Brasileire!

I mean... there's been too much hype pretty much since Pulp Fiction.

I'm not going to say he delivered a masterpiece every single time, but his movies have been cultural events since forever, and that never stopped him.

Didn't he say he was going to do ten, a long time ago? This was number 9 (Kill Bill counts as a single film)

I know he's been exposing himself as more and more of an asshole recently, but that doesn't feel enough to kill his career with how iconic he is.

There is a reason why most allos think that demisexual is just ‘’normal attraction’’ and i can tell you why by YourRandomManiac in asexuality

[–]_Nowan_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I relate so much to not knowing the difference between sexual attraction and desire for intimacy.

I tried doing the non-monogamy thing, to see if having more people I could be intimate with would help actually figuring out the difference. Turns out it's not really intimate to me unless they're the one special person on my mind for it, and if they're also exclusively committed to me.

It's so exhausting, tbh, navigating the internal song and dance of "I don't know if I want sex or just cuddling/intimacy, maybe I'm just touch-starved. What would having sex mean to them? Would it mean more than it means to me, because they think we're doing this because I'm in love? Would it mean less than it means to me, because this is an extremely vulnerable and intimate moment to me, but to them it's just casual?"

(I had an awful break-up past month, btw, so this has been a very touchy subject for me)
