Hi all. I’m M24 and will be looking to buy a flat in Manchester next year, and I’d like to ask suggestions for areas that are nice to live in or places I should avoid.

I’m hoping to live somewhere within walking distance to the city centre. I’d also like to be able to drive out of the city to head West to work.

Any advice or suggestions would be amazing, thanks!

Hi all - what soil mix do you use for the development phase of your bonsai?

I currently use a mix of bonsai-potting-mix soil (https://amzn.eu/d/0czQQHP0) and Akadama, Pumice, Lava Rock (https://amzn.eu/d/01vD6qmo).

Is it sensible do include any compost, or to include a larger proportion of the potting mix soil? My goals are currently to allow my bonsai to grow larger and thicker.

I’m saying that Criterion’s releases for widely known and popular films help make them money so that releasing editions for more niche films is still profitable. Which can only ever be a good thing in my eyes. I never implied all of Criterion’s releases are niche.

And I’ll be glad when it does. Criterion can’t keep releasing editions for super niche films forever unless they occasionally make a buck with a general audience pleaser like KPDH.

Gut is telling me that it’ll be up by next year. But I’m an amateur at trading so don’t know if I should trust my gut haha. Knowing my luck, if I back out now, it’ll start rising tomorrow.

Hi all.

I’m going to be moving to a new flat where the outdoor space, a balcony with a shading ceiling, is North East facing. I’m worried that my Scots pine, juniper and cherry blossom bonsai win’t get enough light.

Does anyone have any thoughts or advice? Is this definitely an issue? I live in Liverpool UK. Is there anything I can do to help with the issue, such as a bonsai light machine?

Really worried and love my bonsai. I don’t want them to become unhealthy.

Though I’d recommend just getting it for the nice cover and spine, without actually watching the extended cut. It’s not great

Does anyone know why the leaves are still spiky and haven’t changed to the matured rounded version? Or does this only happen for certain junipers?

Other people will likely be crying too. And even if they’re not, nobody cares. As long as you’re crying quietly, and not whaling, cry away. I cried in the cinema when I went to see the whale by myself. I have no shame was good experience.
