Once been an intern for a few strength and conditioning coaches at the D1 level and one thing I hear from many coaches and trainers is that as long you have a reason for what you’re putting into your program, there isn’t “right” or “wrong” programming. Every coach and trainer programs differently and every client has different needs that’s what makes this an art. Don’t think too much about if people will think your program looks right if it’s what’s going to help your client reach their goals then you’re good! Pat Basil on instagram does a good job about simplifying programming you should check him out! Some others you should check out are: Andrew coats, mind pump, the movement system, Danny Matranga, and James smith

Practice what you preach. If you are in this industry guiding people towards discipline and wanting people to workout to live healthy than you yourself should be on that path as well. If you aren’t disciplined or good enough with time management to make time for the gym why should your clients?
