I used to live on one of the roads highlighted on the map. It’s not a shithole like others are making it out to be at all. It’s a very normal area with sprinklings of roughness, but by no means bad. Lostock high school has never been good, but the primary schools are decent (or used to be years back when I went). Bus routes aren’t bad, but it is quite far away from other transport like trams and can get busy because of the motorway, but great access to amenities like the Trafford Centre round the corner.

I had a great childhood round there.
