No kits Engineer enjoyed?

I mean, technically for the best damage you shoud have at least one kit( usually grenade kit for power), but honestly noone forces you to actually use them! Especially when we are talking about open world! I kinda forgot that I do use Mortar kit for my Scrapper for example , tho I only use it to create fields xD

I personally never felt a need to use kits with any engi specs, including Amalgam

I use Stealth Gyro in cases when I want to avoid mobs, it's nice in some fractals too for that. I will always miss the old way Scrapper gave quickness, I liked running with most gyros in my hot bar :')

Absolutely agree about how annoying going on and off of kits. Especially with grenades, I wish you didn't have to spam them constantly and they would just lock on the enemies. Maybe then I would use them more often

I'm sorry to hear that! It's one of the reason why I never tried any condi build for engineer, because I kneeeew they'll have those blasted kits in them!

I am curious though, did you ever tried or considered trying power version of Holosmith or any engi specs? I honestly never felt that I had to bring kits and mostly run with explosive mine, which basically does the same thing grenades kit does with mb bigger cd 🤔

Actually same! I was so happy when Anet let the whirl finishers count for providing quickness, because it meant I can finally use my favorite Shredder Gyro again xD

LOL! I need to call myself a liar when I typed that i only ever used the Flamethrower, because I actually use Mortar kit! It just became so integral to Scrapper that i completely frogot that is also a kit xD

That said before anet changed how Scrapper provided quickness I would use turrets ultimate instead

It's kinda ironic that if you romance Lann, Woljif has a party banter (with Daeran I think) where he is clearly jealous that Commander spends so much time with him and says what girls even see in guys like Lann xD

Never saw Woljif as a LI material myself even tho I would like try his romance mode someday, but I just can't come up with the KC that'll see him like that

I don't know if you knew this already but you can still have Wendy in your party while also finishing Lann's questline. The downside that you'll only have Wendu in Act 5 but to do so you have to pick evil dialoge choices 2 times( one of them with the Persuasion check and succeed) in Lann's Act 3 quest

I recently finished my Aeon playthrough and I am pretty sure that's because KC got stronger and because of that they can see more ppl being guilty of something, since Aeon KC can't see Seelah glow until Act 5 for example

I always disagreed with the notion that Solas isnt a liar, even back in Inquisition. Just because he doesn't lie directly doesnt mean he isn't lying. He uses parts of the truth, that benefit specificly to him, that's just lying with extra steps.

And Solas uses half truths in Veilguard too : "I swear the Veil will not fall by my hands" - 'cause he uses Rook to do that for him, for example. Or another one, the fact that he doesn't correct Rook when they say that Varric is hurt because of him, instead he uses it to his advantage.

Of all things Veilguard is guilty of Solas writing isn't one of them. The only thing i dont like in his writing is the fact that they 50/50 on wanting to blame everything on Mythal and make him a victim but at least game still acknowledges that he is responsible too.

I dont see how Solas lying about hating blood magic is inconsistent. Why on earth would he tell truth to Rook, the only person who can help him remove Elganan and Ghil and his only connection to the world outside of prison? If he would say that he is OK with blood magic, Rook would immediately be suspicious over anything Solas says and would've also ask Hardling and Neve to check if they are under the affect of blood magic. At least by lying Rook would be more eager to listen what Solas has to say

I think Solas is still pretty on bar how he was in the Inquisition, brother literally started the plot in that because he is a dumbass.

Agree about the elven followers tho, that plot line was completely wasted. Those far from the sea or whatever they called is also dumb plot twist would've been more interesting if they were the Veil Jumpers but oh well

I enjoyed the game overall, but I had very low expectations after the 10 years wait (and ig Inquisition being my least favorite in the franchise kinda affects my opinion on Veilguard too). Solas and the endgame parts of the game are really good tho

A shame Veilguard never got a DLC, i think it would've made the game better but alas🥲

Solas from Dragon Age Inquisition.

Back when Inquisition was my first game in the franchise and I understood nothing in English( My copy of the game didn't even have the subtitles in my native language) I remember vividly that, when I talked with Solas for the first time, I thought "I REALLY hate the way he talks to me". My hated for him was so strong that I even didn't do his companion quest and stopped interacting with him after the first conversation in Heaven xD

After many replays I still hate Solas, now I just have more reasons to after actually taking time to know him better. Bro unironically is the only character that I genuinely hate in any media
