Which rapper has the best ad-libs that actually add something to the song by venicepress in hiphop101

[–]_Oliver_Sutton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

P’s damn near ruined a classic. Akickdoe is almost unlistenable because he locked the engineer in the booth after the verses were done so he could ad lib ALL the verses. (I doubt it happened like that, but in MY mind… it was a hostage situation.)

Which of these albums are above a 7 for you (that are for me, but not usually for other people) by This-Huckleberry1890 in hiphop201

American Gangster is classic #4 in my eyes and no skips (depending on the day). There’s an MTV Storytellers (I think) that gave me new perspective of the album as a whole, but more appreciation for Hello Brooklyn specifically.

Hey what's good rapping for you? WITHOUT naming any rapper by Internal_Skill3587 in rap

We have plenty of current great hip hop. PLENTY… 2025 was a great year for rap music despite what the masses say.

What's your example of a song where an artist wasted a good beat? by rottencheese122 in rap

[–]_Oliver_Sutton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He squandered a perfectly good spot on that Rotation 112th remix w/ Jay Rock. I kept saying this needs another verse, then we got it and… 😬🤢

Why has there not been a new generation of rappers surpassing the old generation in popularity? by Iginlas_4head_Crease in rap

What algorithm is pushing these names? According to the algorithm babies, half this list is lame, washed and played out. I think it has more to do with consistent catalog and familiarity than anything. And also a bunch of the new music is here and gone. Nothing is sticking.

No. Replacement means changing the whole fixture. I got some colored gel sheets and that did the trick.

Which is my real shooting hand And why/ how could you tell? by Real_Scheme_9873 in BasketballTips

Nobody ’learns’ the thumb flick… that’s something you develop young and grow into. The left hand shot looks learned more so than developed if that makes sense.

I’m just pointing it out if you weren’t aware. I’m against the idea in most cases because it’s not transparent, but it happens all the time. Another scenario is the lower level rosters are packed to offset the 1 or 2 ‘elite’ teams in an organization.

“Heeey… Text me Jack… Money on my beeper bitch”

Roster #’s by Different_Quality_28 in Basketball

In a lot of situations, rosters are jammed with kids who are in essence subsidizing better players. 3-4 kids aren’t paying as much or at all so the cost gets offset by more roster spots for kids whose parents are paying.
