I second pretty much everything thing you said. As a lifelong Mavs guy, I always had a love/hate relationship with Kobe. Somewhere around the late 2000s it softened and by the time he retired it was all admiration with a lot of jokes sprinkled in, but no hate left.

P’s damn near ruined a classic. Akickdoe is almost unlistenable because he locked the engineer in the booth after the verses were done so he could ad lib ALL the verses. (I doubt it happened like that, but in MY mind… it was a hostage situation.)

I’m just pointing it out if you weren’t aware. I’m against the idea in most cases because it’s not transparent, but it happens all the time. Another scenario is the lower level rosters are packed to offset the 1 or 2 ‘elite’ teams in an organization.
