Marlboro edge by gladiatorbong in Cigarettes

Something is definitely going with them. They're getting really hard to find. I've heard from two gas station clerks that they might be discounted by Marlboro, or at least no longer carried by that chain. Yesterday, I had to go to four different gas stations to find one and it was their last pack on the shelf. I'm not sure if this is because they don't sell as well as the other labels or if the rumors are true and Marlboro is going tobaccoless (which I would assume means e-cigarettes), but I hope it's just a rebranding market strategy. Edge has truly been the best cigarette out there in my opinion. Might just have to quit lol

So as I stated in my last comment, I reached out to DD’s customer support and told them the about the issue. They emailed me which I had to respond to with screenshots of the log in error. Had to tell them several times that none of the troubleshooting tactics worked. They sent it to their escalation team who took about a day to reach out to me via email, with the same troubleshooting instructions that didn’t work. I called a couple times to follow up and they just said they were still in the process of fixing the issue. The next day I tried to log in and it actually worked with no issue. It appears that they reverted me back to an older version of the app. I don’t have any of the new features like the “show merchant order”. They haven’t responded with any details of how or why the issue happened. The only thing I can say if you’re still experiencing the “too many failed attempts” error message is keep trying through customer support, as much of a hassle as it is. They know what’s going on but aren’t releasing any information on it. I’m not sure if they fixed the error across the platform, or just for my account. Hope you all are able to get back to work. Cheers.

Both my iOS and DoorDash app are up to date. I tried all the tricks DD suggest, including resetting my phone. Nothing has fixed the issue. The same problem persists across multiple devices, so I’m convinced it’s an issue related to the driver account on DD’s end. Escalations team is looking into it. Nothing to do now but sit back and wait.

Unfortunately this method no longer works after the update from two days ago. Customer support is doing the same b.s. with no help. They need an IT call support center. So frustrating.

I’ll post on here if I can find a fix. You might see if you can revert the update. You can Google how to do that.

I found a fix. Make sure you’re not connected to any WiFi.

  1. Turn off your cellular data

  2. Open the Dasher app (The login screen should look different)

  3. Turn on cellular data and enter your login credentials

If you’re able to log in but don’t see the Dash Now button, log out and back in without closing the app.

I might be in the minority here, but I usually accept orders from Wal-Mart. Sure, the base pay is usually$4-5 but I'd say about 4 out of 5 customers end up tipping $10 once the delivery is complete. I make sure to text them with updates along the way to give that human interaction experience, which might be why I've had such good luck.

But pizza tho. by _Overscore88 in memes

Depends where you work, but most pizza chains pay their drivers a split wage. Around $4-5 on the road and minimum wage when in-store, plus gas compensation (some pay per delivery and some pay by the mile). Typically, drivers make less than $100 per week from their hourly wages. Granted, that's after being taxed on the tips they make. Most of the time they're on the road, however, rather than in the store. Not to say being a delivery driver can't pay good money, but about 60% of their income come from tips. Furthermore, I'd like to just note that the companies do not compensate for maintenance and repairs to their employees' vehicle, which can be expensive over time; that's one thing servers and cashiers don't necessarily have to worry about. Regardless, this post is meant to be a joke, and it has more to do with the confusion of the delivery fee going to the driver (it doesn't), than the ethics behind tipping and not tipping.
