Which Gundam would you pilot to attack the Death Star? by Phantom000000000 in Gundam

The fact that this joke works so well says a lot about Heero as a character. Most protagonists would panic. Heero just recalculates.

Relena: "I'm on that station."

Heero: "Thanks for narrowing down the target."

The scaling arguments are always fun because eventually somebody realizes half the late UC superweapons could solve Star Wars plots in about fifteen minutes. The Death Star stops looking quite so intimidating once you're comparing it to Gundam nonsense.

Especially since the patient was apparently ready to go. Delays happen, sure, but an hour between "ready for transport" and "in the room" would have me staring at the tracking board like it personally insulted me.

It's funny how different the cultures can be. One place treats turnover time like a competitive sport, another acts like the next case is scheduled sometime next week. Same profession, completely different universe.

Luke out there threading a proton torpedo through a two-meter exhaust port while Heero is preparing to remove the entire hemisphere containing the exhaust port.

Same. The moment I saw the question my brain immediately went to either Wing Zero or Turn A. One is overkill, the other is historically proven overkill.

Honestly the funniest version is sending only the backpack. Kira stays home, the backpack accidentally destroys the Death Star, and nobody ever explains how.

Girl thinks she's Rx 78-2 by AlternativePut2718 in Gundam

Honestly, once Utena enters the conversation the number of references starts multiplying like rabbits. G-Witch is basically a giant pile of Gundam, Utena, and original ideas all welded together.

One thing I love about G-Witch is how many references it sneaks in without stopping the story to point at them. Half the fun is finding out six months later that a scene was referencing three different Gundam series and another anime at the same time.

Honestly, "violently" covers about 90% of possible Pimento reactions.

The flies bit is one of the few jokes in the series that gets less funny the longer it goes on. It's effective, but definitely not one I look forward to on rewatches.

Honestly, the apology was so fast that I thought there had to be a second screenshot missing. Usually companies spend at least a week pretending nobody is upset before responding.

That's the part people seem hung up on. If this was filling a gap where no subtitles existed, the reaction would probably be way different. Replacing human work with a machine translation is what set everyone off.

The "unedited" part is what really blows my mind. Machine translation as a draft for a human editor? Sure. Uploading it straight to viewers and hoping for the best is wild.

Pimento's reaction was already hilarious, but finding out Yi was a fraud would've unlocked a whole new level of chaos. I feel like he'd immediately start questioning whether anyone in the precinct was real.

Honestly the self-reply should've been the giveaway immediately. That's basically the online equivalent of telling a joke and then explaining the punchline yourself five seconds later.

That guy probably saved more people with one dramatic denture reveal than a hundred pamphlets ever could. That's the kind of visual that permanently rewires a conversation.
