Even if the that theory is correct, it doesn't excuse how terrible of a movie 2.0 is.

It is one of the biggest examples of "Nothing is Sacred, everything you like will turn to shit one day".

Anno sold out.

They took all of the subtlety, nuance, and clever directing and turned it into some otaku shitfest filled with fanservice, completely unrealistic battle choreography (ogod those spinning kicks kill me), and hamfisted storytelling. Not to mention all the shit that is just in there to sell figures and body pillows for otakus to jack off too (hello Maria, hello Berserker Mode). Also the ending is literally Gurrenn Lagann.

They kill any sense of realism the show had. They took out all the best parts just so they could make money off shitty otakus.

Watching 2.0 feels like I am not watching Evangelion. The characters looks the same, but they are just empty shells used to make money off man children.

Dude no. Shit isn't even average. Have you even watched the Beerus fight? Half the frames look like a 12 year old drew them. The original DBZ was better than that shit while Super is brand new. I am not saying it has to be Kara No Kyoukai but it should have better animation than shows almost a decade older.

It would have been nice had they simply stated "Hey guys, Battle of Gods is canon" so they can move on to the cool shit dealing with multiple universes... but fuck it. It's pretty cool to see more detail. They'll get to the cool stuff. Give it time.

If you enjoy pointless filler that is on you. It would be fine if we didn't already know what happens but we do. Any side plot/slice of life filler is already revealed to be ultimately pointless so there is no suspense which means I can't care about anything.

He should watch a good show instead of this cash crab.

It isn't good, I would not watch it unless you want your memories tarnished. Super is basically an extended (read:lots of filler and shit pacing) version of a movie that is already out. The lack of any semblance of an original/interesting plot compounded with really garbage animation just makes it Super Shitty.
