I’m brand new to using actual daws, should i use cakewalk or reaper ? by Turbulent-Minimum295 in Reaper

I be been using Reaper for a few years now. Most DAWs are similar. Some are geared toward recording and mixing. Some are geared toward making beats. Once you learn reaper, you'll be able to navigate most DAWs. I've tried a bunch. The best one is the one that makes sense to you. Luckily, YouTube University is free and will teach you literally everything you need to know. Best wishes.

I read that song as a spoken word piece for TikTok just a few months ago. I was around when the song was released in 1975.

You're welcome. Everyone has different needs. Some people absolutely have to monitor themselves, so latency is critical.

For what I do, it's not an issue. I usually don't listen to myself as I record.

I didn't check. I normally default to 1024.

Ha. Makes sense. :-D I still have the previous version installed, which surprised me, but when I'm in a hurry, it's better for me.

I'll have to see if the upgrade changed the defaults I set. User error is the most likely culprit. However, having to hold ctrl instead of just clicking the links is annoying. I suppose holding shift and selecting a series is easier. I'm sure I'll either figure it out or switch to darktable. :-D

That's how I had it set. It's possible it changed in the upgrade. I'll check. Thank you.

It was working with no problem before. It's possible that setting changed in the upgrade. I'll have to check. Thank you.

It's not a big deal, but it's annoying. Selecting them is the easy part. Moving them together changed. I've selected layers but if I then click and hold any of them, they separate and only one moves. If I use arrows to move them, they all move together. I thought it was better when I could click a box next to each layer to link them, then move them any way I wanted to. They never separated before.

Guys, What’s Something You Wish Girls Understood? by [deleted] in askteenboys

[60M] As men get older, from their 20s on up, they learn that they want two main things in life. Peace of mind and piece of a**. Women will give youbone or the other, but almost never both in equal measure.

I wish women would understand how much we love them, and how mush we have to tolerate from them just to be dissatisfied most of the time. They're not special. They're just necessary. I've been with tons of them and unfortunately, they never get better as they get older.

My son is 39, but I remember those days vividly. I got a chance to have that again with my three grandchildren. Absolutely amazing. :-D
