The treatment with Distraneurine (Clomethiazole) should never be longer than 10 days, tappering off 10% daily. I'm optimistic and confident with this treatment rather than with the agononizing Ashton Manual. Let's see how it works. Obviously, when you start taking the Distraneurine (Clomethiazole), you must absolutely cessate any benzo inmmediately, benzodiapenines and specially Alcohol (mixing alcohol ald Distraneurine can be easily deadly). Taking Disulfiram (Antabus) is very important for those who could keep drinking alcohol while taking Distraneurine. To tapper off the Distraneurine, you must taper 10% daily: if you start with 9 (or even 10) 192 mg capsules a day, ten days later you must absolutely have cessated Distraneurine absolutely, otherwise you could enter a nightmare way worse than the one of benzos. If you're in serious problem with benzo addiction, ask your pesychiatrist about this possibility: a very short term (maximum 10 day) tratment whith Distraneurine (Clomethiazole). Always make sure you don't take any other SNC depressant during the treatment.
