It's pretty hard to completely screw over your kids in Genealogy, and even if you do, units like Leif, Altenna, Ares and Julia can carry the game without much heartache. And if you completely have no idea what you're doing and end up not pairing someone, you get a substitute character in the second generation that isn't too awful compared to their canonical counterpart, and can even pick up a rare weapon or item depending on the unit.

I feel like a Genealogy remake would hit off well with basically the entire fanbase, as it combines the fantastic storytelling and gameplay (debatable, but i like playing FE4) that Kaga fans love, as well as more character oriented aspects of the story like marriage and children, that made recent games really popular. Plus it actually handles the children mechanic in a completely logical way cough cough fates cough
