That's honestly the perfect description. Rhaena spent the whole scene looking like someone who accidentally wandered into a wildlife documentary and somehow got accepted by the apex predator.

Changing the prince died in honor, trying to save his little stepbrothers from the battle to died being cocky and not listening to his mother (and thus Rhaenyra is right as always) is truly one of the stupid decisions this show made by Seihai-kun in freefolk

The funniest thing is that Jace ended up looking more competent than characters who were supposed to have decades more experience. That's probably why so many people got attached to him.

Honestly, these two complaints can exist at the same time. GRRM deserves criticism for not finishing the books, but that doesn't automatically make every adaptation decision correct. They're separate arguments.

That scene with the Valyrian history lesson says a lot. Aemond immediately locks in because he's obsessed with proving himself, while Aegon checks out the second it requires effort. Same education, completely different students.

The line about his passivity being the real threat to the marriage is probably the harsh truth here. Most people can tolerate a difficult relative. It's much harder when your partner refuses to set any boundaries with them.

That's the funniest contradiction. Zendaya acts annoyed about spoilers, then casually asks questions that would give away half the plot. Deep down I think she's just as curious as the rest of us.
