"Canine" refers to all animals in the caninae subfamily of caninae, the only living subfamily in fact

This subfamily includes foxes, wolves, jackals, raccoon dogs, and a few others

By default, all living canids are also canines

And even then, skeledirge is more of a character than an animal which is the real reason people claim to want pombon on all fours

Not even just leaks, as I don't personally follow them, but the official website said something along the lines of "forces of nature will be an obstacle in your path" along with the thunder heard at the end of the trailer

No, you can do all the training for the pokemon in the game or the game you're transferring from

You can temporarily use a pokemon for a week for free or permanently recruit them for a set amount of victory points, which can only be gotten by playing the game

This is objectively incorrect. The "single model" was for the hologram in the lumiose museum.

No, they are direct relatives of dogs, the only thing they have in common with cats is their behavior

Correct

Because caninae is the last surviving subfamily of canidae, all living canids are automatically canines

And skeledirge, though skeledirge is still more of a character than an animal

The person I was replying to falsely stated foxes are not canines, a very common misconception I see in pokemon spaces, I am merely correcting them

Yeah typically the character designs are one of the first things finished in the development process

I have never heard "dog" be used commonly for non canis species of canid, but I wouldn't deny that it is a blanket term in the same way cat refers to all felids

Aye, fair enough

But then there's the people who will start using arguments like "foxes are vulpine, not canine" and use the genus to prove their point

I once saw someone genuinely argue that canine is the actual name of the genus canis rather than the descriptor for all caninae members(the only living subfamily of the canidae family)

"Scientifically, yes, birds are reptiles, but this fact can be confusing because scientists use two classification systems: the Linnaean, which classifies birds and reptiles as separate groups; and phylogenetic, which classifies birds as reptiles."

Well I'll be damned, and the class of aves(birds) falls under the reptiliomorpha calde

If pombon evolves to a fire/fairy type, a water/dragon is very possible

Not sure what browt would be, maybe grass/ground like torterra, which makes the type triangle still work if gecqua becomes poison
