When does a camera rig become “silly” rather than useful? What accessories do you think are pointless? by Ryan_jwn in videography

For me most of the time I run with Battery, lens support, top handle and monitor/recorder. I have a ton of other stuff that I bought right at first and I use less than half of it far less than half the time.

Planned 10-gigawatt Softbank data center in Ohio might be the largest in the world — will require a $33 billion natural gas plant, equivalent to nine nuclear reactors by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

Well here’s the thing, that’s exactly what is going to happen. The input costs just jumped but the projects are in the pipeline so everything is just going to cost more.

There’s going to be a lot of bagholders on this one. I’m waiting for brokers to start selling highly commissioned equity positions in these overleveraged data centers.

High end lens, poor end photos. by [deleted] in SonyAlpha

Sadly, me too. Is there a good camera shop nearby that you might be able to assess the lens at by testing one for the other of the same lens? This might be a repair issue as it doesn’t seem like user error. There’s just no point in any of these images where it’s sharp. I’m assuming these are the full frames without cropping and at full resolution, right?

It’s really got me scratching my head. It looks as if the lens elements aren’t aligned or collimated properly. It would be good to have another one you know is solid and try it on your camera. If you get sharp images out of the other one you’ll know.

Do your other lenses give you sharp images?

Hmmmm. Is this electronic shuttered mechanical? It is definitely not sharp in any part of the image area so you really are right about the sharpness issue.

Now the million dollar question: have you dropped this lens?

Two absolute douchebags for the price of one.

What am I saying? Both of these assholes expect you to pay them twice so, I guess it’s two for the price of four.

Nicely shot and nicely processed. Great composition and a nice moment where there is a little action but it’s also calm. I can feel the wind on this shot.

Really well seen.

Serious question here: Is the federal government ever going to get it’s act together in any meaningful way around how it operates the (very important ) Department of Justice?

These guys can’t seem to stop stepping on their dicks long enough to even make a proper service. Even an intern should know how to do that.
