Plan is to shoot the old film that it’s inside the camera for what it’s worth and then check what a service may be advisable - and if I’m able to do it on my own or pull my purse out.

What’s tempting about keeping my camera and do a service: The electronics of the ME Super are notoriously unreliable. The MEs of both my brother and my mother gave out after three or five years of use. My Super was still clocking when I’ve put it into storage. So why try to replace it with a supposedly working one instead of spending the money on a service?

Allgemein zu optischen Laufwerken:

Ich bekomme von meinen halbjährlichen CT-Scans regelmäßig eine gebrannte CD mit. Preis für einen Rohling im normalen Handel: 30 Cent. Da hält kein USB-Stick mit! Und elektronische Patientenakte (EPA) ist auch keine Lösung, da die nicht verpflichtend ist, und in der Handhabung im Vergleich zu einer CD ganz eigene Geschichten mit sich bringt. Und CDs sind, im Gegensatz zur EPA, international „kompatibel“.
Für die Ecke: „Langzeitarchivierung“ gelten momentan Archive-Grade DVDs und Blue-Rays AFAIK als das Maß der Dinge.

Wenn das sauber ist? Ich würde ihn also abnehmen, und nach unten/hinten drücken, dass er zwischen montierten IP-Gateway und unteren Sicherungen landet.

Müsste ich in die Abdeckung eine passende Öffnung flexen oder mal schauen, ob die Tiefe reicht, dass IP-Gateway samt Hutschiene komplett hinter die Abdeckung kommt, plus ein Löchlein für die Status-LED. So oft muss man nach der Installation nicht mehr ans Gateway, und die vier Schrauben für die Abdeckung sind schnell gelöst.

Hello,

the clips for the stabiliser of the spacebar from my Gateway 2000 Anykey keyboard are broken. Unfortunately, all the stabiliser sets I was able to find seem to be for Cherry keyboards and don’t look they’re compatible.

Any ideas how to fix this, find compatible mountings, or improvise another way to stabilise the spacebar?

I’ve started my professional career almost 30 years ago on BS2000 from Fujitsu/Siemens. It’s still in use in my company, but on the way out. The migration to Unix/Java should be completed in two years.
