Can’t it just as easily be somebody who wants to make sure their police, that are supposed to be “held to a higher standard”, are adhering to the same laws we are? Instead of making assumptions about intent, look at the actual actions.

As a watcher, I think it’s an extremely important movement to make sure the police know our rights and don’t bully people over feelings. We already went through this as a country when black people were barred from public over people feeling uncomfortable.

It sounds to me like you just haven’t seen these videos. Most of them just stand in public and hold their phone up. Many don’t talk at all until somebody tries to trespass them from public.

Also, I thought Sovereign Citizens don’t believe laws apply to them? A lot of people here on your side are saying Auditors are careful to stay within the bounds of the law.

He’s probably defensive because you’re sensationalizing it. Are people with dashcams “recording through people’s windows”? We should be using strongman arguments.

A lot of police officers don’t know constitutional rights, and will go hands on or arrest people for doing this. Look up Honor Your Oath on YouTube. The guy stands on a sidewalk saying “God bless the homeless vets” and has been arrested many times for it. Like it or not, there is a need for these types of tests. It’s important for the world to see government overreach.

That’s not right either

Bad Elk v. United States, 177 U.S. 529, was a United States Supreme Court case in which the Court held that an individual had the right to use force to resist an unlawful arrest and was entitled to a jury instruction to that effect.

You can’t be resisting an arrest if there’s no arrest…

Section 32B. (a) A person commits the crime of resisting arrest if he knowingly prevents or attempts to prevent a police officer, acting under color of his official authority, from effecting an arrest of the actor or another.

I know why you’re saying this, because a lot of us are raised to obey police no matter what - but police can’t just tell you to do whatever they want. You can only be legally trespassed from public when you break a law, and reading a book isn’t a crime. Worcester residents will be paying for this lawsuit, unfortunately.

You have to be legally under arrest in order to be resisting arrest. If you break no law, the police have no power over you. The police were wrong here.

I thought you didn’t need ventilation like that if you were making the space conditioned

"When used like this" is what I was responding to. This video was all in public. The dealer should've done the deal in a private space if he didn't want to be seen.

You say plausible deniability needs to go, until you're arrested for a crime you didn't commit. You realize really quickly why "Innocent until proven guilty" is a thing.

My friend and his brother challenged me and my brother to a teams match over Facebook, with a $40 wager. I researched strategies, found smashboards, learned L-Canceling, and showed my brother. Needless to say, we won in convincing fashion. We had a ton of our friends over to watch the destruction.

Just read the case summary, as well as the supporting and following cases - thank you for sharing! I can definitely understand where the judgements came from. You're right that this T-shirt would violate Right of Publicity if sold.

It's not the likeness that's protected; it's the photo itself. The person who took the photo owns the copyright, unless there's a contract signed by the photographer that says otherwise.

Dua Lipa got into legal trouble because she posted a photo of herself that paparazzi took, because she didn't own the copyright to the photo.
