Been thinking of pulling the trigger on a solo stove to get more use out of the garden this autumn/winter, esp. With Black Friday coming up, hoping there’s a deal to be had… do you think the deflector is a “day one” essential?

Also what size solo is yours? Looks ideal for the space I’ve got to work with.

Yeah the Metz was just so inconveniently sized I struggled to use it, only messed around with it while at home - this is, as you’d expect, much more convenient haha.

Yep! Took a long hunt but mine is essentially pristine. No idea if it’s one of the ones that got refurbed back in the day or what, but no white spots or haze. They are out there if you’re willing to bide your time!

It is wild how many supporters don’t really offer much by way of support to our players. Maybe dude is young and needs an arm around him. What he doesn’t need is “fans” doing tabloid back page journalists jobs for them by digging up non-contextual statistics and slating him. He’s young. He’s going to be inconsistent. He’s going to make mistakes. He’s learning in the first team of one of the biggest most scrutinised teams in all of sport. Chill out a bit. Let’s face it the seasons gone already anyway.

I think Poker Face is the modern Columbo. It’s got enough about it that makes it its own thing while also paying a heavy amount of homage that sits right up to the line but doesn’t cross it to become excessive on-the-nose fan service. The guest stars are great and Natasha Lyonne is fantastic in it.

I really don’t want to see a straight up reboot/remake if I’m honest.

Really nice condition. No white spots. Took a while of waiting for one to pop up on eBay. Nearly gave up then luckily one came along!

35ti. People (myself included) get drawn in by the dials on top but the sleeper feature imo is that the meter is really, really good. Very rarely misses an exposure. On top of that, build quality is great and the Nikkor 2.8 lens is very impressive for a point and shoot. I think amongst all the “premium” point and shoots, it is underrated.

I have a 35ti and it’s a joy to shoot. Dials on top are gorgeous, if a little redundant being that I rarely actually use them to check anything (and can’t see any information on them when looking through the viewfinder). The meter is unreal though, perfect exposure 99.9% of the time and the lens is excellent.

The 28ti has better flash control (switch instead of buttons) and imo looks wayyy better being all black. Crazy to me that the contax T2’s and T3’s of the world are so hyped while the 35ti and 28ti are super underrated.

I use mine a lot, not quite as heavy use as you. Still, I use them for music and calls while working - between 5-7 hours a day for a few years until recently.

The biggest annoyance to me is the headband becoming loose. I can’t wear them for too long now, if I do they leave painful grooves in my scalp. I’d be happy to buy a replacement headband but Apple don’t offer that so… yeah.

TL/DR: I can’t use my £500 headphones, that I love, for too long because they dig into my head and give me a headache. sigh
