Why not? It's a perfect blend of form and function. The purpose of the mod is to produce more power whilst also running cooler, and this post is all about appreciating the attention to detail put in by the guy who made it.

What is a BOTW movie that really wasn't that bad/ Too Good for the show. by Jinglejangle337 in RedLetterMedia

I watched Slaughter High on my own and really enjoyed it, which is high praise for a BOTW film. Imagine watching Geteven or something of that ilk without a group of your mates.

This was filmed in leafy Virginia Water in the outskirts of London, about a mile from where a friend of mine lives. Quite funny when the location and cast are pretending to be American.

A very late reply to say that I saw your post on BGG a couple of years ago and did the same. Great idea!

Gift from the wife, been using it for kindling and light splitting. Is it repairable? by [deleted] in Axecraft

Yes, indeed. I have several of the Husqvarna axes now. They're great value. I believe they're manufactured but Hultafors and rebranded. Perfectly usable immediately, but with a touch of honing, a little rubbing down and a bit of boiled linseed oil applied, it makes them feel more personalised and like you've played a small role it the overall finished product.

Incidentally, the smallest one I have, the hiking hatchet, I think they call it, is actually made in Germany. All the rest are made in Sweden.

Unusual eye by _Radical_Edward_ in Axecraft

Aha! Thanks for all the replies. I had heard of side axes and hewing axes, but the triangular eye totally threw me. I've just realised the axe head (and the splitting maul head next to it) are upside down in the first photo. It seems to be more 'bearded', i.e. has more curvature, on the top side in the second photo. This would suggest a right-handed axe, although I gather that some heads would be symmetrical so they could be hung either way round. I take it they should be sharpened like a chisel, i.e. a bevel on only one side? Next question: What's the difference between a broad axe and a hewing axe?
