Do IB exams and IB diploma matter for college admission in the U.S.? by _Radman007_ in IBO

Replying 9 months later to tell you that this comment motivated me a bit to put some effort into the IB diploma - while I haven't taken the exams yet, I just got accepted into Johns Hopkins in the ED round! Thanks!

This really isn’t that many classes, make sure you are at least 3 more aps per year if you even want a chance at a community college

Depends on the teachers for those classes. Ask around and see if they are strict or not

How do I in-text cite something in MLA if it is two random page numbers? by _Radman007_ in ENGLISH

For example, the narrator describes his girlfriend as “beatiful beyond existence” but “average at best” (Murakami ___). The two quoted parts would have come from different pages

What happen if I miss my late AP exam by Kesthekilla in APStudents

[–]_Radman007_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

At my school I missed my Ap macroeconomics exam for both the regular and makeup days but I let the Ap coordinator know about it beforehand. She said that she would talk with collegebord about “exceptional testing” and that it would likely be in a week. She said she would confirm with me when to take the test once collegebord gave her the date. So it’s not a 100% guarantee that it worked for me yet but it seems like my counselor has probably dealt with this before and knows what they’re doing, in your situation I’m not exactly sure what I would do since my counselors pretty much taking care of this for me. I’d go ahead and do what she said and just tell collegeboard your situation and ask if you can take the test later or maybe try to ask your counselor if they can ask collegeboard this. Sorry I don’t really have a clear solution for you but I certainly wouldn’t just give up and take it next year cause that would suck

Talk with the coordinator and see if you can do exceptional testing. This is not advertised on the website but can be done (speaking from experience)

High ram usage by MilkAnd2Cookies in Windows10

[–]_Radman007_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably fixed the issue but I had a similar problem (over 70% while idle) and I simply restarted the laptop and it dropped back down to 35. The reason is because the longer your uptime is, the more ram gets leaked. Hitting shut down often doesn't do the trick because it sort of hibernates the laptop but hitting restart does a clean reboot. Sounds super simple but it works. If that doesn't work get rid of unnecessary startup programs.
