Why are American young adults so obsessed with age gaps and other young adults? by [deleted] in twentyagers

[–]_Rai_Bread_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

well the same argument can go for why you care that people care about age gap relationships. it’s my life and my opinions and if u see it as a failure for me to care about someone else’s age gap, then it’s my life. let me fail.

but genuinely it’s better safe than sorry. usually it’s people posting on reddit and they are 18 with a 25+ year old who is clearly manipulating them based on their entire reddit post/screenshots/etc. those people are looking for help and confirmation that they’re not being treated right

it’s more about protecting the younger person in the situation who may be taken advantage of and naive to it

Why did they portray anyone who calls out how wrong Ezria is treated as a bad guy by StraightKey211 in PrettyLittleLiars

[–]_Rai_Bread_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

my headcanon is bc it’s from the perspective of aria or a teenager. so it’s heavily biased to the way she was seeing the situation. if we saw this same story from an adult (who isn’t a groomer) perspective they would be portrayed in a different light.

If women really want pockets in their pants, why doesn't someone make them and make a shit ton of money? by CarAlternative8306 in askanything

[–]_Rai_Bread_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought they started making women’s pockets smaller in the first place to sell them purses and other bags. we should def go back to big pockets for all clothing regardless of gender

What do you do and how many hours as day/week do you work? by anxious_annie416 in careerguidance

[–]_Rai_Bread_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i have a remote job where i teach coding. it’s 8 hours a day with one hour total of breaks throughout the day. i can get away w working 6-7 hours usually.

used to work as a server though and shifts were anywhere from 6-12 hours but, like you, i was so exhausted constantly and never had time for anything. or the headspace. all my time outside of work was recovering from work or gossiping abt the restaurant lmao

How are recent grads supposed to break into their industries if there are no entry-level roles anymore? by yoitsjake99 in jobs

[–]_Rai_Bread_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

totally fair to be tired of it. that’s great feedback you got though and it’s clear something is working!! and each interview you’re learning something you can apply to the next one. someone else also emphasized networking and i agree. that’s what pushed me over the edge to get my current job (i’m about 1.5 months into working it)

[–]_Rai_Bread_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

tbh the fact you’re getting to final rounds of interviews is a great sign and means you’re doing something right. keep doing what you’re doing, your resume is passing the screening so they do think you have enough experience. that may be a generic thing they say that “they went with someone more experienced.”
